L'objet de la présente invention est une boîte de montre étanche comportant une car rure filetée, un joint d'étanchéité et un fond à rebord saillant, ces trois pièces étant reliées l'une à l'autre avec pression au moyen d'un cercle de fixation fileté, vissé à la carrure, le fond étant distinct du cercle de fixation qui, lors du serrage ne touche le fond que sur une surface d'appui prévue au rebord saillant, tandis que sa surface vis-à-vis du fond épouse la forme de ce dernier, afin de le protéger contre des efforts radia=ux.
Cette boîte est caractérisée en ce que le fond à rebord et le cercle de fixation sont couverts d'un antre fond très mince, qui, se refermant sur le tout, est fixé sur la carrure.
Le dessin ci-annexé représente, à titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution de la boîte de montre étanche conforme à l'invention.
Dans le dessin, la boîte de montre est représentée partiellement en vue latérale et en coupe axiale en position d'assemblage.
La carrure 14 est pourvue, à sa partie inférieure, d'un cran 2, dans lequel la glace doit être logée. La partie supérieure de la carrure 14 est munie d'un filet intérieur 15 et d'un emplacement 16, recevant le joint d'étanchéité 17 et présentant un rebord d'ar rêt 18 de ce joint. Le fond 19 en forme de cuvette est logé avec un rebord saillant 20 sur le joint d'étanchéité 17. Un cercle de fixation 27, ayant un filet extérieur 28, est vissé dans le filetage 15 de la carrure 14 et s'appuie par une surface transversale, se trouvant au commencement de sa partie file tée, sur la surface extérieure du rebord 20, en le pressant sur le joint d'étanchéité 17.
Ce joint 17. est constitué par une rondelle en matière imperméable, par exemple en caoutchouc synthétique ou en liège, qui peut être très mince du fait des surfaces d'appui sur le joint bien plates et du serrage uni quement axial. La surface intérieure 29 du cercle 27, qui se trouve vis-à-vis de la sur face extérieure du fond 19, épouse la forme de celle-ci sans la toucher, afin de protéger le fond contre des efforts radiaux. Le cercle de fixation 27 est pourvu de quatre encoches 30, qui donnent prise à une clé de serrage non représentée, qui peut être une clé dite universelle.
Le filetage du cercle et celui de la carrure présente au commencement du filet une surface conique qui aide, lors de l'assem blage, à faire engager le cercle de fixation 27 dans le filet 15 de la carrure, afin que le filetage ne soit pas détérioré. A part son rebord 20 se trouvant sous pression axiale, le fond 19 n'est soumis à aucun effort par le cercle de fixation 27, et peut avoir une faible épaisseur.
Le fond 19 et le cercle de fixation 27, qui arrivent à la même hauteur que le bord de la carrure 14 de façon à former une sur face plane, sont couverts d'un autre fond 31 à cran se refermant sur le tout et fixé sur une battue de fixation 32 de la carrure 14. Le fond extérieur 31 à cran peut être d'une épaisseur très faible. Déjà lors d'un effort de pression très faible sur le fond extérieur 31, le dernier peut s'appuyer sur le fond à rebord 19.
La construction décrite convient spéciale ment pour les boîtes de montre en métaux précieux, par exemple or ou platine. Dans ce cas le fond intérieur et le cercle de fixa tion sont en métal ordinaire, par exemple acier ou cuivre, possédant une résistance suffisante, pour protéger W mouvement sans avoir une grande épaisseur, tandis que le fond extérieur en métal précieux peut être très mince.

The thread of the circle and that of the middle part present at the beginning of the thread a conical surface which helps, during assembly, to engage the fixing circle 27 in the thread 15 of the middle part, so that the thread is not deteriorated. Apart from its rim 20 being under axial pressure, the bottom 19 is not subjected to any force by the fixing circle 27, and may have a small thickness.
The bottom 19 and the fixing circle 27, which arrive at the same height as the edge of the middle part 14 so as to form a flat surface, are covered with another notch bottom 31 closing over the whole and fixed on a battue 32 for fixing the middle part 14.
