Le moyen couramment utilisé pour obte nir l'étanchéité entre le couvercle et le fût est de comprimer, plus ou moins énergique ment, le joint par l'intermédiaire d'une vis à pas lent, engagée dans un étrier solidaire du fût et disposée au-dessus du couvercle. La manceuvre nécessaire pour serrer et desserrer le couvercle exige un effort assez considé rable sur les deux poignées terminant l'extré mité supérieure de la vis et est relativement lente.
La présente invention a pour but d'assu rer, d'une manière rapide et efficace, l'étan chéité entre le couvercle et le fût desdites bourreuses et de faciliter, en outre, la ma- naeuvre du couvercle; à cet. effet, la bourreuse taisant l'objet de l'invention est caractérisée en ce que l'étrier est. susceptible de pivoter autour de l'un des supports et que ces der niers sont solidaires du châssis de la presse, la compression du joint étant assurée par la poussée de réaction de la presse transmise au couvercle, annulant ainsi la poussée inverse du piston et maintenant le couvercle en équi libre de pression.
Le serrage du couvercle peut être assuré par une vis munie d'un filetage à pas rapide et irréversible.
Une forme d'exécution, donnée à titre d'exemple, est. représentée au dessin annexé, dans lequel: La fig. 1 représente, schématiquement, une bourreuse hydraulique suivant l'invention. La fig. 2 représente, schématiquement, une bourre-Lise mécanique.
