Un bras 14, dont l'une des extrémités est munie .d'un -cliquet d'arrêt 15, et dont l'autre extrémité est pivotée à un axe 16 de la pla tine .6, est susceptible d'osciller ou de se dé placer entre des butoirs 17 et 18 sous l'ac- -tion dudfit @eliquet 15 d'une part, et -d'un ressort de rappel 19 d'autre part;
Le bras 14 supporte, de plus, une tige 20 isolée de la masse et munie d'une barrette de :contact 21 .susceptible ,de presser et de frotter contre le talon -d'une fourchette isolante 22, montée libre sur l'axe 5 -de l'-armature 4;
L'armature 4 porte un tenon 24 :agencé entre les dents 2,5 et 26 de la fourchette 22, de façon à entraîner celle-ci lorsque l'arma- tune @ ôs.cille & utour de l'axe 5; dé qui s, pôrir résultat d'établir et de couper alternativement la liaison électrique entre l'axe 5 et la bar rette 21;
le contact entre la plaquette 23 et la barrette 21 est coupé, il s'en suit que l'électro aimant 1 n'étant plus excité, l'armature 4 pivote dans le sens de la flèche 32 sous l'action du ressort 7, ce mouvement étant limité par le butoir 8;
Du fait des oscillations de l'armature 4, le cliquet 7 pressé par le ressort 33 entraîne rotativement la; roue à rochet 10 et, par celle-ci, l'axe 11 auquel est fixée l'une des extrémités du ressort 13, ce quia pour ré sultat de tendre celui-ci; à chaque oscillation de l'armature 4, pendant le recul du cliquet 7, la roue 10 est immobilisée par le cliquet d'arrêt 15 adapté au bras 14 et pressé par le ressort 34;
lorsque la tension du ressort 13 atteint une valeur telle que la pression, contre le cliquet 15, des dents de la roue 10, est supérieure à l'effort de traction du ressort 19, le bras 14 pivote autour de l'axe 16 et vient prendre appui contre le butoir 17; il ré sulte que ce pivotement du bras 14, que la tige 20 que porte celui-ci est déplacée avec la barrette 21, qui vient dans la position 35 (fig. 2) et, de ce fait, ne peut plus assurer la fermeture du circuit de la source 28;
Device for electrically winding the barrel spring of a timepiece. The present invention relates to a device for electrically winding the barrel spring of a timepiece, comprising an electromagnet supplied by a source of electrical energy, and an armature intended to oscillate between the polar parts. of the latter, characterized by the fact that this frame carries a pawl intended to actuate a ratchet wheel in rotation,
so lidaire of the axis of the barrel, so as to charge the spring thereof, this ratchet wheel being, moreover, engaged with a pawl:
stopper carried by an arm pivoted on the frame and supporting a rod provided with a contact strip intended, on the one hand, to control the passage of electric current so as to achieve each oscillation of the aforementioned armature and, on the other hand, to be moved by the pivoted arm which, being subjected to the action of a return spring,
rotates in one direction when the tension of the mainspring reaches a determined maximum, and in the other direction when this tension reaches a given minimum.
The appended drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the device which is the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a schematic plan view, and fig. 2 is a view of a construction detail.
The device shown comprises an electro-magnet 1 between the pole pieces 2 and 3 of which is intended to oscillate a frame 4 pivoted to an axis 5 carried by the plate 6 of the timepiece. The frame 4 is assured life by a return spring 7 whose action on it is limited by a stopper 8.
The frame 4 also carries a pawl 9 intended to rotate a ratchet wheel 10 integral with the axis or shaft 11 of a barrel 12 containing a spring 13.
An arm 14, one end of which is provided with a stop-pawl 15, and the other end of which is pivoted to an axis 16 of the plate .6, is capable of oscillating or of being move between stops 17 and 18 under the action of dudfit @eliquet 15 on the one hand, and -a return spring 19 on the other hand;
in fact, depending on whether the tensile force of the latter, on the arm 14, is greater or less than the pressure exerted by a tooth of the ratchet wheel 10 on the stop pawl 15, said arm 14 comes to rest against one or other of the stops 17 and 18.
The arm 14 supports, moreover, a rod 20 isolated from the mass and provided with a bar of: contact 21 .susceptible, of pressing and of rubbing against the heel - of an insulating fork 22, freely mounted on the axis 5 -frame 4;
this fork 22 carries a plate 23 made of a good conductive material, -susceptible of electrically connecting the bar 21 5. the axis: 5 not isolated from ground.
The frame 4 carries a tenon 24: arranged between the teeth 2, 5 and 26 of the fork 22, so as to drive the latter when the frame @ ôs.cille & around the axis 5; dice which s, for the result of alternately establishing and cutting the electrical connection between axis 5 and bar 21;
in fact, the latter can rub against the fork 22 by successively coming into contact, on the one hand, with its insulating part and, on the other hand, with the plate 23.
The rod 20, isolated from ground, is connected by an electrical conductor 27 to one of the terminals of an electricity source 28, of which. the other terminal -is connected in series to the electromagnet 1, and to the plate 6 using the conductors 29 and 30.
The device shown operates as follows: The circuit of the electricity source 28 being closed by the conductor 27, the contact strip 21, the plate 23, the axis 5, the ground, the electromagnet 1 and the conductor 29, the armature 4 under the action of the coil 1 ft votes in the direction of the arrow 31, when it has moved by a certain angle, its tenon 24 abuts against the tooth 25 of the fork 22 and leads it in the same direction, therefore,
the contact between the plate 23 and the bar 21 is cut, it follows that the electromagnet 1 is no longer excited, the armature 4 pivots in the direction of the arrow 32 under the action of the spring 7, this movement being limited by the stopper 8;
during this movement, when the armature 4 has moved by a certain angle, the plate 23 and the bar 21 again come into contact, the circuit of the electricity source is again closed and the operation start again.
Due to the oscillations of the armature 4, the pawl 7 pressed by the spring 33 drives the rotatably; ratchet wheel 10 and, by the latter, the axis 11 to which one of the ends of the spring 13 is fixed, which has the result of tensioning the latter; at each oscillation of the frame 4, during the retraction of the pawl 7, the wheel 10 is immobilized by the stop pawl 15 adapted to the arm 14 and pressed by the spring 34;
when the tension of the spring 13 reaches a value such that the pressure, against the pawl 15, of the teeth of the wheel 10, is greater than the tensile force of the spring 19, the arm 14 pivots around the axis 16 and comes lean against the stopper 17; it results that this pivoting of the arm 14, that the rod 20 which the latter carries is moved with the bar 21, which comes into position 35 (FIG. 2) and, therefore, can no longer ensure the closing of the source circuit 28;
it follows that the oscillation of the frame 4 is stopped as well as the reassembly of the res out 13; when the voltage of the latter, as a result of the operation of the timepiece, a. sufficiently reduced so that the tension of the spring 19 is no longer balanced by the pressure of the teeth of the wheel 12 against the pawl 15, the arm 14 pivots again around the axis 16 and comes to rest against the stopper 18.
by moving the rod 20 and the contact strip 21 which again presses against the plate 23 of the fork 22, so as to again ensure the oscillation of the armature 4 and. reassembly of the spring 13.
The .dispositif shown therefore makes it possible, by periodic winding, to provide the barrel spring 13 with a tension that is continually between a minimum value and a maximum value in advance, which makes it possible to ensure, d 'on the one hand, the transmission of a practically constant force to the cogs of the envisaged timepiece and, on the other hand, a reserve of force determined by said spring 13.
In addition, the plate 23 and the bar 21, rubbing against each other, cleans each other, which ensures good contact between these two parts.
