Electrically wound timepiece. The present invention relates to an electrically wound timepiece, in which the armature of an electromagnet acts on a winding member, also serving to actuate one of the moving parts, armature and organ which form the switch of the excitation circuit of the electromagnet, so as to communicate to this organ, against the action of the organ to be wound up, a movement which, by effect of inertia, still continues after the armature has finished its travel, which causes the rupture of the excitation circuit of the electromagnet, the winding member being independent of the axis of the moving part on which it acts. appended hereto represents, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a plan view of the electric winder; Fig. 2 is an elevational view of the mobile driven by the winding member; Fig. 3 shows more clearly details already visible in FIG. 1. The movement, not shown, of the part is screwed onto one side of a main plate 1 on the other side of which the winding device is fixed. The latter comprises an electromagnet coil 3, the core 3 'of which is screwed to a part bent at right angles to a base plate 2 screwed onto the plate 1 and insulated from the latter by ebonite washers 2 '. A bracket 16 screwed onto the plate 2 supports the frame 4 and its adjustment members.
The frame is constituted by a soft iron plate 4 fixed by means of a clamping counter blade 6 on a spring 5 screwed onto the bracket 16. A screw 8 taken at the end of a spring 7 screwed to said bracket serves to adjust the size of the air gap between the plate 4 and the core 3. In addition, the armature carries a contact pad 9 cooperating with a said 10 integral with a bracket 11 screwed onto a lever 12. These Contact pads should be made of a stainless metal to resist the effect of breaking sparks.
The lever 12, pivoted at 12 'on the plate 1, is subjected to the action of a spring 12 "attached at 15. It carries a latching mass 13 pushed by a spring 14 in the teeth of a ratchet 18 The latter is mounted idle on the extended axis 21 of one of the moving parts of the movement, for example of the small average moving part 26, 27. On this same axis is rigidly wedged a disc 20 attached to the ratchet 18 by a spring d. 'maintenance 19 serving as an energy reserve for the re-assembly period. Finally, a retaining pawl 17 placed under the action of a spring 17' prevents any retrograde movement of the ratchet 18.
The current necessary for the operation of the winding device is supplied by a battery 25 connected, on the one hand, to an insulated terminal 23 fixed to the plate 2 and, on the other hand, to a terminal 22 screwed into the plate 1. L 'input 24 of the coil is connected to terminal 23 and output 28 to core 3': The operation of the device described above is quite simple. The various members occupying the respective positions shown in FIG. 1, the spring 12 "acts on the lever 12 which lamasse 13 actuates the movement by means of the ratchet 18, the spring 19 and the disc 20. Little by little the two pads 9 and 10 come together until they come into contact.
A circuit is then established by: pole -f- of the battery, terminal 23, 24, coil 3, 28. core 3 ', armature 4 by plate 2 and the components that it carries, pads 9 and 10, ground and terminal 22, pole - 25.
The armature 4, attracted until it touches the core 3, gives a sudden impulse to the lever 12. By the effect of inertia, the latter continues its movement against the action of the spring. 12 ", after the armature 4 has abutted against the core 3 ', which results in the separation of the pads 9 and 10, that is to say the rupture of the excitation circuit. The mass 13 then resumes in the teeth of the ratchet 18 which it drives during the relaxation of the spring 12 ". Such a device can be adapted between. others to any timepiece the size of an ordinary watch.
It suffices to remove the barrel and replace the axis of the small average mobile by a slightly longer axis which will have the ratchet wheel 18, the spring 19 and the disc 20. The device according to the invention is suitable. particularly to automobile watches and can be powered by the battery's lighting of the latter.
