Verfahren zur Herstellung eines kupferhaltigen Disazofarbatoffes. Gegenstand des vorliegenden Zusatz patentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines kupferhaltigen Disazofarbstoffes, da durch gekennzeichnet, dass der Disazofarb- stoff [2,8-Dioxynaphthalin-6-sulfonsäure] (1-azo-4)-,[3,3'-dimethoxy-diphenyll-(4'-a.zo- 1)-[2,8-dioxynaphthalin-6-sulfonsäurel mit kupferabgebenden Mitteln behandelt wird.
Der neue, kupferhaltige Farbstoff färbt Baumwolle in grünstichig blauen Tönen. <I>Beispiel:</I> Man stellt in an sich bekannter Weise den Disazofarbstoff aus 61 Teilen 4,4'-Di- amino-3,3'-dimethoxy-diphenyl und 126 Tei len 2,8-Dioxynaphthalin-6-sulfonsäure dar.
Das in üblicher Weise abgeschiedene Natriumsalz des Disa.zofarbstoffes wird in der 15-20fachen Menge heissem Wasser ge löst, die violettblaue Lösung mit 50 Vol.-Tei- len 23%iger Ammoniaklösung versetzt und auf 85-90 erwärmt. Hierauf wird mit einer Lösung von 132 Teilen krist. Kupfersulfat in überschüssigem Ammoniak allmählich versetzt. Es findet dabei Farbenumschlag von Violettblau nach grünstichig Blau statt.
Man rührt weiter während mehreren Stunden bei der angegebenen Temperatur, lässt hier auf erkalten und scheidet die neue Kupfer komplexverbindung durch Aussalzen aus; diese wird dann filtriert, mit 10%iger Koch salzlösung gewaschen und getrocknet.
Der neue Farbstoff stellt ein violett schwarzes Pulver dar; er löst sich in heissem Wasser mit graublauer, in konz. Schwefel säure dagegen mit grünblauer Farbe. Baum wolle färbt diese Kupferverbindung in was- sertropfechten, hervorragend lichtechten, grünstichig blauen Tönen. Die Lichtechtheit der Färbungen leidet durch die sogenannte Knitterechtbehandlung nicht.
