L'objet de la présente invention est un vase avec dispositif hermétique de protection du liquide y contenu contre le contact de l'air. Ce vase est caractérisé par un couvercle placé Åa son intérieur et susceptible de coulisser axialement librement dans le vase et de flotter sur le liquide que le vase contient.
Le dessin ci-annexé représente, sehémati- quement et a titre d'exemple, une forme d'exécution du vase faisant l'objet de l'invention.
La fig. 1 en est une coupe axiale et la fig. 2 une vue en plan avec couvercle extérieur enlevé.
Dans la forme d'exécution représentée, le vase 1 est fermé par un couvercle supérieur 2. Un couvercle 3 est aménagé dans l'intérieur du vase. I1 comprend un disque de bois surmonté d'un empilage de segments d'étanchéité en caoutchouc 4. Une poignée 5 permet de retirer ce couvercle, et des doigts de guidage 6 l'empêchent de se coincer.
A l'extérieur du vase est prévu un tube de niveau 7 avec robinet 8.
Le fonctionnement de ce vase est le suivant:
On le remplit Åa peu près jusqu'au niveau indiqué sur le dessin, le couvercle intérieur flottant sur le liquide. Le fond de ce couvercle est dimensionné de telle manière que sa ligne de flottaison soit juste un peu audessous du segment d'étanchéité inférieur.
Le robinet avec passage en T non représenté permet soit de mesurer le niveau du liquide, soit d'isoler complètement le liquide a l'in- trieur du vase, soit d'en prélever une partie.
Dans ce dernier cas, le couvercle flottant s'abaisse en même temps que le niveau du liquide et protège ainsi la surface de celui-ci contre le contact de l'air qui pourrait l'altérer.
L'avantage de ce vase est de permettre de prélever là intervalles espacés de petites quantités de liquide, sans qu'il en résulte un contact avec l'air qui remplit graduellement la partie supérieure du vase.
Cet avantage est particulièrement important, par exemple, pour les boissons telles que le vin, qui s'altèrent assez rapidement au contact de l'air.
Dans la forme d'exécution représentée, le vase est en verre avec protection extérieure en bois. Le couvercle flottant est en bois cuit dans la cire d'abeille.
En variante, le vase pourra être en bois, ou de même que le couvercle flottant, en tonte autre matière apte à contenir le liquide voulu sans qu'il s'altère. Le couvercle flottant pourrait aussi être en verre avec un évidement assurant sa flottaison.
Le vase pourra également présenter une section transversale de forme carrée ou autre.

In the embodiment shown, the vessel 1 is closed by an upper cover 2. A cover 3 is provided in the interior of the vessel. It comprises a wooden disc surmounted by a stack of rubber sealing segments 4. A handle 5 allows this cover to be removed, and guide fingers 6 prevent it from jamming.
On the outside of the vessel is a level tube 7 with stopcock 8.
The operation of this vase is as follows:
It is filled to approximately the level indicated in the drawing, the inner cover floating on the liquid. The bottom of this cover is sized such that its waterline is just a little below the lower sealing ring.
The tap with T-shaped passage, not shown, makes it possible either to measure the level of the liquid, or to completely isolate the liquid inside the vessel, or to take part of it.
In the latter case, the floating cover lowers at the same time as the level of the liquid and thus protects the surface of the latter against contact with air which could alter it.
The advantage of this vessel is that it allows small quantities of liquid to be taken at spaced intervals, without resulting in contact with the air which gradually fills the upper part of the vessel.
This advantage is particularly important, for example, for drinks such as wine, which deteriorate fairly quickly on contact with air.
In the embodiment shown, the vase is made of glass with exterior protection made of wood. The floating cover is made of wood baked in beeswax.
As a variant, the vase may be made of wood, or like the floating cover, of shearing other material capable of containing the desired liquid without it deteriorating. The floating cover could also be made of glass with a recess ensuring its flotation.
The vase may also have a cross section of square or other shape.
