Abstract

Bottle comprises a hollow, vertical cylinder (1) necked (7) at the top to be closed by a stopper (8). The bottom of the cylinder is open to accept a piston (2), pref. with sealing rings (3). As wine is consumed, the piston is pushed in with a removable rod (5) so the wine is never exposed to harmful contact with air. The cylinder is enclosed with a bottle-shaped outer shell (6) to form a jacket space (9) which can be filled with heating/ cooling liq.

Description

 We know that for its good conservation the wine must be preserved from any contact with atmospheric air in order to avoid risks of oxidation. This is the reason why wine contained in an already opened bottle cannot unfortunately be kept in good condition.

 In addition, according to its nature, and possibly its tasting conditions, a wine must be consumed at a determined temperature, more or less different from ambient temperature. However, the reheating of the wine, or possibly its cooling, raises certain difficulties.

 This is why the present invention relates to a container, such as flacon.ou bottle, designed both to ensure good preservation of the wine and so that it can be easily brought to the desired temperature.

To this end, this container is characterized in that it comprises, in combination
- an internal container of constant section, open at the bottom and containing a piston capable of being pushed upwards as the contents are withdrawn by the upper neck
- an outer casing of different shape, providing, around this container, a free space capable of receiving a cooling or heating liquid.

 Thus the wine contained in the present container can be easily brought to the desired temperature. Furthermore, the wine can be stored away from any risk of oxidation since afterwards it is enough to push the internal piston upwards to avoid stagnation of air at the top of the container.

However other features and advantages
of the container according to the invention will appear during the
following description. This is given with reference to
drawing attached for information only and in which:
Figure 1 is an axial sectional view of the present container
when it is completely filled.

Figure 2 is a similar view representing this same reci
pient after taking part of his
content.

The present container firstly comprises a
internal container 1 of constant section, made of glass
or any other appropriate matter. This container may have
for example a cylindrical shape. But he could
possibly have a prismatic shape.

This container is completely open to its
lower end. However its background is somewhat
kind constituted by a piston 2 provided with one or more
seals 3.

This piston has a housing 4 opening out
on its lower surface and which is intended to receive a
removable operating rod 5 for exercising a
thrust on this piston. Optionally housing 4 can
have a thread or any other desired arrangement
allowing the corresponding end of the
operating rod 5 on the piston 2 in order to be able to move
this one down after the contents of the container
1 has been completely emptied.

This internal container is placed inside
an outer envelope 6 whose shape is different.

So in the example shown, this envelope affects
the shape of a carafe comprising a neck 7 closed by
a plug 8. On this subject it should be noted that this in
veloppe can have any chosen external shape
for its aesthetic character. This cannot be
the case for the internal container 1 since this must
maintain a constant section over its entire height
determined by that of piston 2.

 However, the shape of the external envelope 6 must be such that it spares around the internal container a free intermediate space 9. This is intended to receive a liquid for cooling, or possibly for heating, the wine placed in the inside of container 1.

To this end, the upper part of the external envelope 6 has an opening closed by a plug 10.

 Of course, the upper edge of the internal container 1 is tightly connected with the corresponding part of the internal wall of the external envelope 6.

Like the container 1, this envelope can be made of glass or any other suitable material.

 When the internal container 1 is completely filled with wine, its lower piston 2 is located at its lower end as shown in FIG. 1.

Due to the friction of the seals 3 on the inner wall of the container 1, the piston 2 is firmly held in place and there is no risk of it sliding under the effect of the weight of the content of this container.

However, an internal shoulder may optionally be provided at the lower end of the container 1 in order to constitute a safety stop for the piston 2.

 Of course when the container 1 is full, the upper level of the liquid is in contact with, or at least in the immediate vicinity of, the plug 8.

 However, after each removal of part of the content, it is necessary to push the piston 2 upwards by a sufficient distance to bring the upper level of the content to the vicinity of the plug 8 in order to avoid the presence of a air pocket / upper part.

This operation can be carried out by means of the removable operating rod ^ 5 already mentioned. Naturally when the container is completely emptied of its contents, it suffices to return the piston 2 to its initial position downwards in order to be able to use it again.

The present container therefore makes it possible to consume
only part of its contents without the liquid
remaining then risks being altered by oxidation.

This is an important advantage by
compared to the vials and bottles usually used
for wine conservation. Thanks to this advantage the present
container can be used in restaurants or cafes for
to sell in limited quantities, for example "by the glass", wines
of great value without the risk of damaging them
between two direct debits. However, this container can also
be used for family use to store wine without
alteration between two successive samples.

It should be noted that in these various cases the
design of this container makes it very easy to bring
the wine with the desired temperattlre, Indeed just place
depending on the case a coolant, or on the contrary
a warming liquid, inside the space
intermediate 9. There is also an advantage
important. Thus for the cooling of certain wines, the
present container prnnct avoid the use of an ice bucket.

Of course the container according to the invention
is not limited to the embodiment described above
and shown in the accompanying drawing. So the lower piston
2 could very well be actuated by an operating member
permanently mounted at the bottom of the container. This organ
could for example consist of a threaded rod screwed into a central nut located at the lower end of the container,
this rod carrying a tone or similar to facilitate
his maneuver.

Container such as flask or bottle, intended to contain wine, characterized in that it comprises, in combination  - an internal container (1) of constant section, open at the bottom and containing a piston (2) capable of being pushed upwards, as the contents are taken up by the upper neck - - an external envelope ( 6) of different shape, providing, around this container, a free space (9) capable of receiving a cooling or heating liquid.  2. Container according to claim 1, characterized in that the inner piston (2) has a housing (4) open at its lower surface and capable of receiving a removable operating rod (5) for actuating this piston.
