Additional patent to the main patent No. 228936. Process for the production of a new azo dye. It has been found that a new azo dye is obtained if 1 mole of diazo-tated 1-aminobenzene-2-carboxylic acid, 1 mole of 2- (4'-amino) -benzoylamino-5-ogynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid, 1 mole of cyanuric chloride ,
1 mol of 4-amino-4'-ogy-1,1'-azobenzene-3'-carboxylic acid and 1 mol of aniline can interact in such a way that the diazo compound intervenes in the 6-position of the naphthalene nucleus and the cyanuric chloride the amino groups of the 2- (4 'Amino) -benzoylamino-5-ogynaphthalene-7-sulphonic acid, of 4-amino-4'-ogy-1,
1'-azobenzene-3'-carboxylic acid and the aniline are combined to form a ternary triazine condensation product.
The new dye is a red-brown powder and dyes cotton in a weakly alkaline bath to which a copper salt solution of copper sulfate and tartaric acid sodium has been added in washable and light orange-brown tones.
Example: 13.7 parts by weight of 1-aminobenzene-2-carboxylic acid are dissolved neutrally in 200 parts by weight of water with sodium hydroxide solution and 6.9 parts by weight of sodium nitrite and 25 parts by weight of conc. Hydrochloric acid diazotized at 5. After 30 minutes, the diazonium salt formed is mixed with 35.9 parts by weight of 2- (4'-amino) benzoylamino-5-ogynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid, which was dissolved as the sodium salt in 200 parts by weight of water,
with the addition of 30 parts by weight of soda at 5, optionally with the addition of ice, combined. After 6 hours, the monoazo dye formed is separated from the heat using common salt as the sodium salt. 507 parts by weight of the deposited product are dissolved in 1500 parts by weight of water in a neutral manner and added to a suspension of 18.5 parts by weight of cyanuric chloride in 500 parts by weight of cold water. The temperature is kept at 5-10 for 1 hour. The hydrochloric acid formed during the condensation is neutralized with the appropriate amount of sodium carbonate.
A solution, neutralized with soda, of 25.7 parts by weight of 4-amino-4'-ogy-1,1'-azobenzal-3'-carboxylic acid in 250 parts by weight of water is then added to the monocondensation product and the temperature is increased to 40. This temperature is maintained for 2 hours and the hydrochloric acid released is gradually neutralized with the appropriate amount of sodium carbonate. 18 parts by weight of aniline are then added and the temperature is kept at 90 for 3 hours.
Ulan clearly makes soda-alkaline, separates the tricondenation product formed with sodium chloride and dries it.
The same dye is also obtained if 1 1M1 of the diazotized 1-aminobenzene-2-carboxylic acid is mixed with the ternary triazine condensation product from 1 mol of 2- (4'-amino) benzoylamino-5-oxynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid, 1. Mol4-amino-4'-oxy-1,1'-azobenzene-3'-carboxylic acid and 1 mole of aniline combined.
