Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen sauren Nonoazofarbstoffes. Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen, zum Färben tierischer Fasern geeigneten sauren Monoazofarbstoffes.
Erfindungsgemäss wird der neue Farb stoff dadurch erhalten, dass diazotiertes 2-Sulfo-5-ss-chlorpropionylamino-l-anilin in saurem Medium mit 2-Ami.no-8-naphthol-6- sulfosäure gekuppelt wird.
Der neue Farbstoff bildet ein braun stichig purpurrotes Pulver und ist in Wasser unter Bildung einer roten Lösung und in Schwefelsäure unter Bildung einer braunen Lösung löslich. Er färbt Wolle aus saurem Bade in gelblichroten Farbtönen, die sich durch ,gute Walkechtheit und ausgezeichnete Lichtechtheit auszeichnen.
Die vorliegende Erfindung wird durch das nachstehende Beispiel erläutert, ohne indessen darauf beschränkt zu sein. Die Teile bedeuten Gewichtsteile. <I>Beispiel:</I> Eine 13,9 Teile 2-Sulfo-5-ss-chlorpropio- nylamino-l-anilin und 12,5 Teile 36%ige Salzsäure enthaltende wässrige Lösung wird bei 5-10 C durch Zugabe einer Lösung von 3,45 Teilen Natriumnitrit in 25 Teilen Wasser diazotiert. Die so erzielte Diazolösung wird nötigen falls filtriert und hierauf zu einer gekühlten,
neutralen Lösung, bestehend aus- 13,1 Teilen des Natriumsalzes der 2-Amino-8-naphthol- 6-sulfosäure, in 175 Teilen Wasser hinzu gefügt. Es wird noch während einer kurzen Zeit gerührt und hierauf langsam Natrium acetat hinzugegeben, um die mineralische Acidität des Mediums zu beseitigen.
Nach vollständiger Kupplung wird das Gemisch durch Zugabe von Natriumcarbonat schwach lackmusalkalisch gestellt und bis zu einer 10 % igen Konzentration mit Kochsalz versetzt. Der ausgefällte Farbstoff wird ab- filtriert, mit 1U % iger Sole gewaschen und getrocknet.
Dieser Farbstoff färbt Wolle aus saurem. 3 % Schwefelsäure (berechnet auf das Ge wicht des zu färbenden Materials) enthalten dem Bade mit gelblichroten Farbtönen von guter Walkechtheit und ausgezeichneter Lichtechtheit.
