Description

  

  Verfahren     zur    Herstellung     eines    neuen Kondensationsproduktes.    Es wurde gefunden, dass man zu einem  neuen     Kondensationsprodukt    .gelangt, wenn  man das     Natriumsalz    des sulfonierten     Benz-          imidazols,    welches durch Kondensation von       o-Phenylen,diamin    mit     Kokosfettsäure    und  nachfolgende     Sulfonierung    erhalten wird,  mit     Essigsäureanhydrid    bei erhöhter Tempe  ratur in Abwesenheit von Wasser behandelt.  



  Die Umsetzung wird zweckmässig beim  Siedepunkt des     Essigsäureanhydrids    vorge  nommen.  



  Das neue Kondensationsprodukt bildet  eine     bräunlichgelbe,    harzartige Masse, die  im Gegensatz zum Ausgangsmaterial in  Wasser auch bei     sehwach    saurer Reaktion.  löslich ist: Es kann als     Tegtilhilfsstoff,    z. B.  als Schaummittel, Anwendung finden.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  20 Gewichtsteile des     Natriumsalzes    des       sulfonierten        Benzimidazols,    welches durch  Kondensation von     o-Phenylendiamin    mit       Kokosfettsäure    und nachfolgende @Sulfonie-         rung    erhalten wird, und 100 Gewichtsteile       Essigsäureanhydrid    werden während 3 Stun  den unter     Rückfluss    gekocht.

   Man filtriert  die     Essigsäureanhydridlösung    des Reaktions  produktes von ungelösten Teilen heiss ab,       wäscht    den Rückstand mit heissem     Ess        .ig-          säureanhydrid        aus    und dampft das Filtrat  unter     vermindertem        Druck    bei     6,0    bis 70         ein.     



  Der     harzartige,    braungelbe     Rückstand    ist  im Gegensatz zum     Ausgangsmaterial    in  Wasser bei schwach saurer Reaktion klar  löslich.

  In contrast to the starting material, the resinous, brownish yellow residue is clearly soluble in water with a weakly acidic reaction.
