Waterproof winder. The object of the present invention is a watertight winder comprising a package arranged between the winding crown and the tube of the. box. This winding mechanism is characterized by at least one pair of male and female elements, one of which is carried by the crown and the other of which is integral with the case, these elements being coaxial to the tube and cooperating with each other to way -to create a chi cane.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, four embodiments of the object of the present invention and two variants.
Fig. 1 is an axial section of the first embodiment and FIG. 2 -a similar view, but partial of a variant of this embodiment.
Fig. 3 is an axial and partial section of the second embodiment.
Fig. 4 is an axial section of the third embodiment and FIG. 5 a similar view of the fourth embodiment, while FIG. 6 is a similar but partial view of a variant of this last embodiment.
In fig. 1, 1 represents a caseband-bezel having a thread 2 for screwing the back; dano: the tube 3, integral with the caseband, passes the winding stem section 4 screwed onto a .central stud 51 of the winding crown 6. The latter comprises a package 7, surrounding the .tube, and which is maintained in its housing by a rigid washer 8, chased therein.
The middle-bezel has a female baffle element consieaut in a circular groove 9, coaxial with the tube, into which penetrates the male element which is an annular projection 10, carried by the ring washer 8; the contact between the female and male parts is made on the: lower and right sides of this male part.
These two elements cooperate well to create between the crown and the box, a baffle to protect the package and prevent it from coming into contact with all kinds of small bodies, dust, threads, hairs, etc: depending on the material used for the package and the kind of lubricant which may be employed, it is certainly advantageous to keep them from any harmful influence.
By means of the pull-tab time-setting mechanism generally used today, it is easy to adjust the gap or achieve ample contact or low pressure between the adjoining ends of the crown and case; this pressure comes from the traction effected on the crown by the winding stem, s @imply establishing the mechanism, so as to still make the jumper act on the. zipper, the latter being in the reassembly position.
The partial view of FIG. 2 is a laughing variant of the. embodiment of 1 <1 fig. 1: the annular projection 10 also carried by the crown ron delle 8, still rotates in a groove. circular 11, which is limited this time by a core, coaxial with the tube, made in the. box and around the tube.
In the second embodiment, shown in FIG. 3, there is a baffle formed, on the one hand, by a cylindrical projection 12 of the box, coaxial with the tube, entering a housing 13 formed by the projection 14 of the crown washer and, on the other hand, by a projection 14 presented by the latter, rotating in a circular groove 15 of the box; there is therefore a pair of male and female elements both on the box and on the crown and the contact between the male and female parts is made on the right and left faces of the male part 14.
In the third embodiment, shown in fi-. 4, the tube 3, which is driven into the middle part 16 of the case, passes through the bezel 17 by a notch 1.8 of the latter. In this case, it is a circular projection 19 of the crown washer which penetrates into a corresponding groove 20, made in a ring 21, driven out on the tube.
This ring, which is partly housed in a recess 2 surrounding the notch 18 of the bezel, so as to allow the In- net to fit into the caseband-back, serves at the same time. to maintain the sleeve 23 of the tube: this sleeve and this ring do. the subject of Swiss Patent No. 213466.
The ring in question, of course, could be replaced by a collar manufactured with the tube.
In the fourth embodiment, shown in the figure. 5, the box is similar to that of fig. 4, as well as notch 18 and recess 22 made in the net lu- , for the same reasons. In this embodiment, the tube 3 of the box has a projection 24, in the form of a collar, produced with the tube, which fits into a housing 25 formed by an annular projection 19 of the tube. crown washer.
Fig. 6 shows a variant of. qua third embodiment, in which the projection 26. in the form of a collar, is attached to the tube.
He. It goes without saying that the invention can also be used with watch cases having a pendant, the tube forming one with the latter or being attached to the case.
It is also of course understood that the penetration of the baffle elements can be provided so that the baffle still remains when the crown is in the time-setting position.
On the other hand, to increase the efficiency of the. protection, one of the elements of the system may be made of a plastic material, such as rubber or unbreakable glass, or a layer of this material may be integral with one or other of these elements.
