Description

  

  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Kondensationsproduktes.    Es wurde gefunden, dass man wertvolle  Kondensationsprodukte erhält, wenn man       Halogenmethylsubstitutionsprodukte    von aro  matischem     Oxycarbonsäuren    oder deren gleich  reagierende Abkömmlinge mit reaktionsfähi  gen, stickstoffhaltigen organischen Basen, die  mindestens einen     aliphatischen    oder     alicyeli-          schen    Rest mit mehr als 6     C-Atomen    ent  halten, umsetzt.  



  Als     Halogenmethylsubstitutionsprodukte     von aromatischen     Oxycarbonsäuren    sind vor  allem die in den deutschen Patentschriften  Nr. 236046 und 450460 beschriebenen Ver  bindungen, wie die     p-Chlormethyl-o-kresotin-          säure,    die entsprechenden     p-Oxymetbyl-    und       Anhydroverbindungen,    aber ebenso die ent  sprechenden Abkömmlinge von andern aro  matischen     Oxycarbonsäuren,    wie beispielsweise  der     Salicylsäure,    der     Chlorsalicylsäure,    der       Methylendisalicylsäure,

      der     Aminoarylmethy-          lensalicylsäure    (zum Beispiel     Amino-oxydi-          phenylmethancarbonsäuren),        derOxyrjaphthoe-          säuren    usw. zu rennen.

   Ist die     Oxycarbon-          säure    oder ihr Derivat mehrmals durch die         Halogenmethylgruppe    substituierbar, wie bei  spielsweise die     Salicylsäure    oder die     Methy-          lendisalicylsäure,    so lassen sich auch diese  mehrfachen     Halogenmetbylverbindungen    zur  Kondensation verwenden, wobei erwähnens  wert ist, dass gegebenenfalls verschiedene  Basen gleichzeitig oder nacheinander zur  Reaktion verwendet werden können.  



  Die reaktionsfähigen, stickstoffhaltigen,  organischen Verbindungen, welche zur Kon  densation verwendet werden, unterliegen der  einzigen Bedingung, dass sie einen höher  molekularen     aliphatischen    oder     alicyclischen     Rest, der an beliebiger Stelle,     also'    beispiels  weise am Stickstoff oder an dessen     Substi-          tuenten,    zum Beispiel direkt in vorhandenen  Kernen oder     Kernsubstituerrten    sitzen kann,  enthalten müssen.

       Grenannt    seien primäre,  sekundäre und tertiäre Amine     aliphatischer,          araliphatischer,        hydroaromatiscber    und aro  matischer Natur, wobei unter denn     Begriff\     aromatisch auch     heterocyclische    Verbindungen  mit     cyclisch    gebundenem Stickstoff verstan  den sind.      Gegenstand des vorliegenden Patentes ist  ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Konden  sationsproduktes,     dadurchgekennzeichnet,    dass  man     5-Chlormethyl-2-o$y-benzoesäure    mit       Äthyl-oetadecylanilin    umsetzt.

   Die neue Ver  bindung bildet als     Natriumsalz    eine in Wasser  lösliche bräunliche Masse. Sie eignet sich als       Weichmachungsmittel    für Kunstseiden aller  Art und kann gleichzeitig mit Direktfarb  stoffen im Färbebad verwendet werden.  



  <I>Beispiel:</I>  74 Teile     Äthyl-octadecylanilin    werden in  300 Teilen eines Lösungsmittels, wie Chlor  benzol, gelöst und 38 Teile     5-Chlormethyl-          2-ogy-benzoesäure        98        %ig        dazu        gegeben.        Man     erhitzt 24 Stunden auf     100-120'    C und  treibt nach beendigter Kondensation das Chlor  benzol mit Wasserdampf ab.

   Der Destillations-         rückstand    wird in verdünnter Lauge neutral  gelöst, die Lösung erhalten gelassen, das       Natriumsalz    der gebildeten     Carbonsäure    mit       15%        Kochsalz        ausgefällt,        abfiltriert        und        ge-          trocknet.    Das Enderzeugnis ist eine in Wasser  lösliche, bräunliche Masse.

  <I> Example: </I> 74 parts of ethyl octadecylaniline are dissolved in 300 parts of a solvent such as chlorobenzene and 38 parts of 98% 5-chloromethyl-2-ogy-benzoic acid are added. The mixture is heated to 100-120 ° C. for 24 hours and, after the condensation has ended, the chlorine benzene is driven off with steam.

   The distillation residue is dissolved neutrally in dilute lye, the solution is left in place, the sodium salt of the carboxylic acid formed is precipitated with 15% sodium chloride, filtered off and dried. The end product is a brownish mass which is soluble in water.

Die neue Ver bindung bildet als Natriumsalz eine in Wasser lösliche bräunliche Masse. Sie eignet sich als Weichmachungsmittel für Kunstseiden aller Art und kann gleichzeitig mit Direktfarb stoffen im Färbebad verwendet werden.
