Er stellt ein ,dunkles, bronzieründes Pulver dar, das sich leicht in Wasser mit violettgrauer Farbe löst.
Er färbt die Gellulosefmer in rotstichig- grauem Farbton von hoher Lichte-chtheit an.
In dem Beispiel wurde das Kupfer mit tels Glycerin in dem alkalischen Medium in Lösung gehalten. Man kann natürlieli an <B>Z,</B> Stelle von Glycerin viele andere Stoffe ver wenden, die die Eigenschaft haben, mit Cupryhydroxyd in alkalischem Medium lös liche Verbindungen einzugehen, wie zum Beispiel die weinsauren SaIze. Man kann auch auf die Auflösung des Kupfers ver- zieltten. Bei sehwerlöslichen Farbstoffen ist es oft vorteilhaft, lAsungsmittel wie Pyridin zuzusetzen.
Anderseits ist es oftgüns#tig"die Kupferungsreaktion in einer verdünnten Salzlösung vorzunehmen.
