Luftbefeuchter.
Humidifier. The invention relates to a humidifier, e.g. B. for living and business premises. The known devices, in which mostly the heat given off by the central heating elements is used for evaporation, have the disadvantage that often too little moisture is given off into the air and the water tanks are ignored as a result of inexpedient arrangement, so that they are mostly forgotten will refill them. With such air humidifiers, the release of moisture cannot be used and increased as desired and required.
Air humidifiers are also known in which water is atomized. With these facilities, however, droplets tend to form. In addition, they are usually too powerful for living spaces and are therefore mainly used to humidify large rooms in factories, etc.
According to the invention, an electric heating plate is arranged in a base which carries a water container above the heating plate mentioned. The device is designed in such a way that the outlet of the water tank arranged above the heating plate is closed by a plug through which an outflow pipe and a pipe for the air inlet pass.
In the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the invention is shown cally, in a vertical section.
A glass container 2 is arranged on the base 1, the downwardly directed opening of which is provided with a rubber stopper 3, through which two continuous, displaceable glass tubes 4, 5 pass through. The evaporation material flows through the glass tube 4 from the container 2 into the evaporation vessel 9, while air is passed through the tube 5 above the water level. When the liquid in the vessel 9 has reached the mouth of the glass tube 5, the air supply above the water level and thus the further outflow of evaporation material from the container 2 ceases. An insulation 6 prevents heat loss. The radiator 7 has an output of about 50 watts.
By higher resp. If the setting of the tube 5 is lower, the liquid level in the evaporation vessel can be changed. The housing 1 is provided with openings through which the vapors can escape. At the bottom, a closure 8 provides further useful insulation.
The described air humidifier enables a continuous, uniform and completely automatic enrichment of the air with moisture, possibly with the addition of ozone, fragrant substances etc.
All parts with the exception of the insulation can be made of metal. Advantageously, however, at least the container 2 is made of glass or other transparent material in order to be able to easily read from the outside the level of the liquid, which can be added in advance to further improve the air quality.
The device described allows. at about. 50 watt power consumption per hour the evaporation of about 90 to 100 cm 'of liquid, depending on the degree of dryness of the room air.
