  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     4-Oxy-naphthostyr        ilkörper    s.    Vorliegendes Patent bezieht sich auf ein  Verfahren zur Herstellung von     N-Methyl-4-          oxy-naphthostyril,    welches dadurch gekenn  zeichnet ist, dass man ein mineralsaures Salz  von     4-Amino-N-methyl-naphthostyril    in Ge  genwart von Wasser auf     Temperaturen    von  150 bis 200   C erhitzt.  



  Das so erhaltene neue     N-Methyl-4-oxy-          naphthostyril.    ist ein gelbes Pulver vom  Schmelzpunkt<B>290'</B> C und soll zur Darstel  lung von Farbstoffen und Heilmitteln Ver  wendung finden.  



       Beispiel:     220 Teile     4-Amino-N-methyl-naphtho-          styril    werden mit etwa 1500 Teilen Wasser  und 120 Teilen 30     %        iger    Salzsäure 3     Stunden     auf etwa 200   C erhitzt. Das erkaltete Re-         aktionsprodukt    wird abgesaugt und durch       Umlösen    aus Natronlauge     gereinigt.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung von N-Methyl- 4-oxy-naphthostyril, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man ein mineralsaures Salz von 4- Amino-N-methyl-naphthostyril in Gegenwart von Wasser auf Temperaturen von 150 bis 200 C erhitzt. Das so erhaltene neue N-Methyl-4-oxy- naphthostyril ist ein gelbes Pulver vom Schmelzpunkt <B>290'</B> C.
