Fig. 10 zeigt eine billige, einfache Aus führung.
Plant for the extraction of compost soil. The present invention is a plant for the extraction of compost earth from organic materials such. B. vegetable or animal origin, such as from garden waste, kitchen waste, garbage, etc.
What is new is essentially that means are provided which ensure uniform ventilation of the accumulated material and thus rapid and complete fermentation of the same.
In the drawing, various forms of execution of systems of the present type are shown.
1 and 2 show in two vertical sections a transportable composite container made of Eternit; Fig. 3 is a plan view thereof.
The container 1, which can also have a round or polygonal cross-section, has an inclined bottom 2 by means of which it rests in the ground 3. At the lower end, an opening 5 is provided in the side wall 4, which is used to empty the Behäl age 1. The container is provided at the top with a lid 6 in which a sliding lid 9 is slidably arranged. The latter covers the filling opening of the container 1. Near the upper end of the container 1, an air passage opening 10 is provided, in front of which a filter is arranged. Above the opening 5 an iron grate 11 is seen before. Furthermore, in the container 1 is a composite of rods grate 12, on wel chem the material to be exposed to fermentation Ma rests in the main.
In the bottom 2 there is also a water drain 13 which opens into a stone bedding 14. The walls of the container 1 are made of asbestos cement and can be clad on the outside or inside with insulation and held by a metal frame. The material to be fermented is poured in at the top. The larger parts remain on the grate 12; the finer parts fall through and pile up on the floor 2. Air flows up through the opening 5 between the iron grate 11 below. The grate bars 12 distribute the air over the entire cross section of the container. The air outlet point in the ceiling of the container can be closed more or less.
The upper filling and lower emptying allow continuous operation. where only the fully fermented material has to be removed, while the residues slowly slip down. In all cases, the parts can be easily transported. The container can be put together by untrained people.
The system can comprise several such containers. They can also be designed in such a way that they have a plurality of compartments which are separate from one another.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 4 and 5, an attachment 21 is placed on the ceiling 20 of the container also made of Eternit, which has a perforated intermediate wall 23 over which a layer 24 of peat is located. The material to be fermented is poured in through an opening 26 that can be closed in the middle of a door 25. This peat layer, which soaks up moisture during natural or artificial sprinkling, causes the material to be evenly moistened and distributed by falling water; it also serves as a filter for the stale air and the air that escapes.
In Fig. 6, a Ausfüh approximate shape is shown in section, in which the on acceptance of the material to be fermented be certain container of individual, interchangeable bar stackable elements 30 consists. The latter are layered over a base piece 31 which has a side opening 32 in which a grate 33 is provided on which the material in the container rests. The elements 30, 31 can consist of Ze ment and can also be provided with an insulating coating on the outside or inside. The cross-section can be round, square, etc.
In Fig. 7, a Ausfüh approximately form is shown in section, in which the container 35 is inserted into a base 36. The walls can be made of asbestos cement, concrete or metal.
As shown in FIGS. 8 and 9, an air distributor 41 can be built into the interior of the container 40. The container 40 rests again on the base 42. It has on opposite walls inwardly vorsprin ing wall parts 43 which leave the openings 44 used to remove the compost free. The air distribution body consists of a frame on which wire mesh is stretched. The interior 45 is connected to the outside air by means of line 46. The air distribution body ensures the uniform access of air to the material lying in the container 40.
Fig. 10 shows a cheap, simple imple mentation. In this embodiment, cement pipe sections 50, 51 are stacked on top of one another. Two or more such pieces of pipe can be stacked on top of each other as required. The lowermost ring 50 has an opening 52. An iron grate 53 is provided over the latter. A grate 54 is also provided. The compost can easily be removed from the container through the opening 52. The topmost piece of pipe is covered with a plate 55 which has a filling opening 56 A.
Depending on requirements, the container can be enlarged or reduced by adding or removing rings.
In those cases in which a closed container is not appropriate, the system according to FIGS. 12 to 15 can be used.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 12, metal frames 61 standing on concrete slabs 60 are provided at regular intervals from one another. These are interconnected by grids 62. The plates have air passage channels 64. The material to be fermented is filled in via these frames, which could also be releasably connected to one another at the upper end. The whole heap created in this way can then be covered from the outside, by means of straw or reed mats, by boards, earth, etc.
The air that is needed to ferment the compost gets through the frames into the inside of the pile. A rapid and even fermentation of the whole heap takes place. The frames can be covered with wire mesh, panels, wooden panels, etc.
The frames 61 can have any shape. Instead of metal, they can be made of concrete (Fig. 13), corrugated eternit, corrugated iron (Fig. 14 and 15). It is essential that the air supply line is not closed by the accumulating and fermenting material. With these designs, too, can be provided with tel, so that the rainwater is evenly distributed and possibly reaches the material with a long delay.
In the embodiment according to FIG. 15, a perforated cover made of asbestos cement plates 67 is provided for this purpose over the air distribution elements 66, on which a layer of peat rests. This absorbs water and gradually releases the moisture downwards, creating favorable conditions for rapid fermentation.
For large systems, the embodiment shown in FIG. 17 can be used. In this embodiment, a building is provided that consists of several floors. In the floor 70, the air distributor 72 are set up on the floor 71. Between tween two air distribution bodies 72, a hinged grate 73 is provided for each Weil. Above the space 70 the ceiling 74 provided with filling openings 75 is provided. The material to be fermented is layered evenly distributed over the air distribution body. The fermenting material falls into the collecting space 77, the bottom 76 of which is provided with bunkers 78, which are closed at the bottom by means of a lid 79.
The emptying of the room 70 he follows in such a way that the accumulating compost is led into the bunker, from which it then falls into car 79 that can enter the lower room 80 of the building. In this embodiment, large amounts of compost can be thoroughly processed with relatively little manual labor.
18 to 22 show a final embodiment in different sections, namely Fig. 18 shows a cross section through the system. Fig. 19 is a longitudinal section; FIG. 20 shows a plan view and FIG. 21 shows a detail of the cross section on a larger scale; FIG. 22 is a cross-section along line A-A of FIG.
The system shown has two superposed rooms 81, 82, wel che are housed in a preferably made of concrete her building 83. As can be seen from Figs. 19, 20, space 82 is divided into a plurality of containers 84, with a gap 87 remaining free between adjacent walls 85 and 86 of two containers, which space is in communication with the free atmosphere. In openings in the walls 85, 86 bars made of concrete are inserted, which have the shape shown in Fig. 22 in cross section. They are approximately V-shaped and perforated in cross-section.
It is thereby made possible that air from the intermediate spaces 87 can pass through the beams 88 into the interior of the containers 84, even if the same are filled with waste. This results in good aeration of the compost. The air can escape through vents 89 arranged at the upper ends of the container.
The beams 88 can also consist of Eternit instead of concrete.
Garden waste, etc. are filled through the openings 90 and the compost can be removed from the lower, funnel-like ends of the containers who the.
