Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung einer neuen Snlfonsäur e. Es wurde gefunden, dass man eine als Zwischenprodukt verwendbare Sulfonsäure erhält, wenn man das saure Sulfat des 1-Arninobenzol-3-methylsulfons auf höhere Temperaturen erhitzt. Es ist dabei zweck mässig, unter vermindertem Druck zu arbeiten.
Das so erhältliche Produkt bildet ein graues Pulver, das sich in Wasser, besonders in Form seiner Alkalisalze, leicht löst. Es dient als Zwischenprodukt zur Herstellung von Farbstoffen.
<I>Beispiel:</I> Eine Mischung von 171 Teilen 1-Amino- benzol-3-methylsulforr in 100 Teilen konzen trierter Schwefelsäure und wenig Wasser wird 1O Stunden unter Vakuum auf 180-200 erhitzt. Der erhaltene spröde Rückstand wird in etwa 500 Teilen Wasser gelöst und die Lösung von Spuren Verunreinigungen abfil- triert. Aus dein Filtrat erhält man durch Ansäuern oder Aussalzen in guter Ausbeute die Sulfonsäure des 1-Aminobenzol-3-methyl- sulfons.
Process for the production of a new Snlfonsäur e. It has been found that a sulfonic acid which can be used as an intermediate is obtained if the acidic sulfate of 1-aminobenzene-3-methylsulfone is heated to higher temperatures. It is advantageous to work under reduced pressure.
The product obtainable in this way forms a gray powder that dissolves easily in water, especially in the form of its alkali salts. It is used as an intermediate in the production of dyes.
<I> Example: </I> A mixture of 171 parts of 1-aminobenzene-3-methylsulforr in 100 parts of concentrated sulfuric acid and a little water is heated to 180-200 under vacuum for 10 hours. The brittle residue obtained is dissolved in about 500 parts of water and traces of impurities are filtered off from the solution. The sulfonic acid of 1-aminobenzene-3-methyl-sulfone is obtained in good yield from the filtrate by acidification or salting out.
