Tug with winch, especially for pulling guns If guns or other heavy trailers are pulled through the terrain by means of a tractor, obstacles can arise which make it impossible or difficult to move the tractor and the trailer at the same time. To eliminate this disadvantage it has already been proposed to arrange a winch on the tractor. For example, when towing guns, they are then uncoupled from the tractor and the tractor is driven through the difficult part of the terrain on its own.
If the tractor is placed in a suitable place with locked wheels, the winch cable is attached to the mount eye and the gun is drawn towards the tractor by means of the winch. The cable is then loosened and the carriage eye is lifted onto the tow hook.
The uncoupling, the fastening of the Win.dekabel and the reconnection are cumbersome actions that cause a significant loss of time. In particular with heavy artillery, where the bearing pressure of the mount eye can be 700 kg, great difficulties arise.
The pressure of the carriage eye is then so "great" that special lifting tools are required to lift the tail. You then also have to maneuver the tractor back and forth in order to bring the draw hook under the carriage eye.
It is clear that if a battery has to take a different position, the actions described can cause an inadmissible loss of time, especially since these can still very often be disturbed by enemy fire.
The aim of the invention is to eliminate these deficiencies, which is achieved in that the towing hook, which has the purpose of coupling the trailer to the tractor, is connected to the winch cable. This allows you, if z. B. When .Schlepen a C, reschützes in difficult terrain an obstacle is encountered, lower the tail of the gun to the ground with the help of the winch and then continue the tug, the cable is lowered.
After the tug has reached a suitable; Is located, the winch is activated, pulling the G.esehütz towards the tug and then raising the tail so that the tug and the gun can be driven together again without the described actions for uncoupling and are required for coupling the carriage eye to and from a fixed towing hook.
The tow hook can be seen with a part. which fits into a receiving organ of the tractor. This provides good support for the draw hook, so that it can resist the bumps when driving over uneven terrain.
The strength of the connection between the tractor and the trailer can be increased by the fact that a possibly automatically acting locking device is provided by means of which the tow hook can be connected to the tractor after the winch cable has been wound up. that the cable is relieved of: the stress of dragging the coupled trailer.
Here, the locking device can have a locking member displaceable by a spring, which is prevented by a bolt from shifting under the influence of the spring until the bolt is pushed through the pulling hook that has reached its end position. is moved, in which case the locking member is moved by the spring until it engages in a recess in the draw hook.
Furthermore, in the case of a tractor with a mechanically driven winch, the towing hook can be used to put the drive device itself out of action when it reaches its end position. This prevents the cable from being overstressed when it is wound up. Slip couplings or the like, which would otherwise have to be arranged for this purpose, are also unnecessary.
This automatic deactivation can be achieved by a bolt arranged in the path of the draw hook. which is connected to means for switching off the drive device of the winch.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the tractor according to the invention is illustrated.
Fig. 1 is a side view of part of the tractor, Fig. 2 is a corresponding plan, Fig. 3 is a longitudinal section of the draw hook and some parts on a larger scale, Fig. 4 is a corresponding rear view, Fig. 5 is a corresponding plan view, the parts partially in :
Section, FIG. 6 is a view of the locking plate, FIG. 7 is a side view of the operating elements provided in the driver's seat, and FIG. 8 is a part of FIG. 7 on a larger scale.
The rear part of the tractor shown in the drawing is borne by a rear axle 1., on which a vibrating link 2 is arranged on both sides with wheels 3; If necessary, an endless caterpillar belt can be placed around the wheels to make the tractor even more off-road.
A winch 4 is also attached to the tractor, which is driven by the motor by means of a power connection arranged on the transmission, a shaft 5, a reduction gear 6 and a shaft located in a C-re housing 7 who can.
The cable 8 of the winch is guided over a roller 9 and provided with a pulling hook 10 at its end. This consists of two parts, namely the actual hook part, which is articulated to a conical part 12 by means of a bolt 11 (FIG. 3).
The cable 8 is attached to the draw hook by its end 13 in a rearwardly widening Publ opening of the cone part 12 and is thickened by splitting and pouring metal. The conical part 12 of the draw hook fits into a receiving part 14 of the tractor which forms a whole with two guide pieces 15. between which a roller 17 is rotatably arranged on an axis 16.
This role is used to guide the cable 8 when lowering, when pulling the gun and lifting the gun tail and further to support the hook part of the train hook.
The articulated connection of the two parts of the draw hook has the purpose of preventing that when lifting. of the carriage eye of the towing hook act like a lever and would assume such a position with respect to the cable that the cable would be bent too much at the point where it emerges from the cone part. This would be the case if the hook part and the cone part 12 were to form one piece. The bolt 11 is held in part 1 2 by spring washers that lie in grooves rles part 12.
When the tow hook is pulled into the part 12 of the tractor by the cable 8 being pulled up, it is secured in this position by means of a locking plate 18 (FIGS. 5 and 6) which can be moved along guides 19 - and with it one edge 20 engages in a recess 21 of the conical part 12. The locking plate is pressed against the guides 19 by springs 22.
When the locking plate 18 is snapped into place, it is itself actively secured by a device which works in the following way: The locking plate 18 is held by a bolt-shaped bolt 23 displaceably arranged in part 14, its head 24 through, when the cable is lowered a spring 25 is pressed into a circular recess 26 of the locking plate 1.8.
When the cable is wound up and the towing hook reaches part 14, a cam 27 of the conical part 12 pushes the bolt 2'3 forward against the force of the spring 25 until the head 24 emerges from the circular recess 26 and the locking plate moves with it a slot 26a on the bolt 23 can move along.
The locking plate 18 can now be pushed ge with its edge 20 in the recess 21, by means of an Ar mes 28 which engages with a ball head 29 in an opening 30 of the locking plate and forms a whole with the lever 31. which is under the influence of the spring 32.
This lever is connected by a cable or a rod 33 to a control lever in the vicinity of the guide. If one now wishes to free the winch cable. With the help of this operating lever, you can pull the locking plate 18 out of the recess and hold it in this position until the cam 2,7 of the pull hook is so far away from the part 14 that the bolt 23 is under the influence:
the spring 25 is pushed into the recess 26 with its head 24 and holds the locking plate 18 firmly.
In Fig. 7 it is indicated how the device described Bene is connected by the rod 38 with the winch drive. In this figure, the normal operating elements are shown, namely the brake pedal. 36, the brake lever 37 and the shift lever 38. Next are a lever 39 for operating a brake of the winch, which acts on the reduction gear 6, and a pedal 40, which can be stepped forward and thereby the Activation device 34 of the winch operated.
The pedal 40 is provided with a bolt 41 (ver same Fig. 8): which is in a slot 42 of a rod 43, is displaceable. This rod is connected to a widened part 44 of the rod 33, while a slot 45 is arranged in this part, in which a bolt 46 of a lever 3, 5 can be displaced.
If one wishes to unlock the towing hook and loosen the winch cable, pull the lever 35 backwards, which pulls the rod 3: 3 forward and the locking plate 18 emerges from the recess 21 of the towing hook. With the help of the brake lever 39 you can brake the winch 4 a little to:
Slowly lower the tail of the gun to the ground, whereupon the brake 39 is switched off. The lever 35 is pushed forward again so that the bolt 46 comes to rest in the rear part of the slot 45. The rod 3.3 is held in the front position against the pressure of the spring 3.2, because the locking plate 18 is secured by the bolt 23.
When the rod 33 is pulled forward, the rod 43 is pushed along with its slot 42 on the Bol zen 41 without taking the pedal 40 with it. If you want to turn on the winch drive. If you step the pedal 40 forward, so that the bolt 41 in the slot 42 is pushed forward ver .. If now in the manner described above, the tow hook. By entering into the receiving part 14, the bolt 23 pushes out of the locking plate 18, the spring 32 is tensioned, while at the same time the locking plate 18 locks the draw hook and the pedal 40 is pulled backwards so that the drive of the winch is automatically switched off .
As a result, the winch cable 8 cannot be wound too tightly, so that overstressing of the cable or other parts of the device is prevented.
The locking plate 18 is designed so that when the device is new. the edge 20 does not reach into the recesses 2, 1 of the conical part 12 to the full depth. This ensures that if there is any wear of the part 12 with respect to the receiving part 1.1, the locking plate 18 pushed deeper into the recess 21 by the action of the spring 32 and by means of the lever 31 and, according to the wedge shape of the guides 19, the ments by the Wear caused play is canceled.
It is clear that by means of the locked draw hook a coupling is achieved which, in terms of strength, is concerned. is not inferior to one with a fixed tow hook. In addition to the advantage that you can release the hook from the driver's seat and bring it back into its position, whereupon it is automatically locked and the drive device is switched off, the articulated hook has the advantage that between the tip of the in its End position held by a hook and part 14 is at a distance,
which is less than the thickness of the mount eye. This means that there is no need for a safety device to prevent the eye of the mount from jumping open.
The draw hook does not need to be attached directly to the winch cable. B. BEFE Stigt on a cable reel, through which the cable coming from the winch. Is guided, while the end of the cable is then BEFE Stigt on the tractor.
The tractor according to the invention is suitable for towing other heavy Fahrzeu conditions such as digging machines, tree trunk pullers, etc. in difficult terrain, in addition to pulling guns.
