Automatic coupling With automatic couplings for vehicle trailers
the clutch gear is usually from a = firmly connected to the clutch body
Protective housing ü @ rngelyen, with mostly a removable cover after installation
the coupling parts close the housing tightly. These types have: the disadvantage
-that the height of the protective housing must be dimensioned in such a way that the vertical displacement
the coupling bolt can take place within the housing space. As a result: of which is
the height of the housing in the coupling position, i.e. while driving with a trailer, so
great as during: the coupling process itself or 'in the standby position.
This is especially the case with off-road vehicles where .the clutch after
must be swiveled up and down, uncomfortable, because the space between the upper edge
the coupling housing and the overlapping carriage structure take this movement into account
Must carry, which is generally hardly possible due to lack of space. , 'Lus, this reason
one has often .that moved the clutch gear down, .d. H. to the
Lane to be arranged, although the safety of the operation is thereby unfavorable
is influenced because if the clutch transmission fails, z. B. as a result of Erlahinen: s
the springs, the bolt can fall down.
The aim of the invention is to replace the previous couplings with fixed,
To simplify the protective housing enclosing the clutch transmission. According to the invention
this is done in such a way that the adjusting lever itself acts as a movable protective housing
is trained. A spring pin is expediently seated on the treasure housing as a backup
for the coupling position, which snaps into a detent .of the coupling body.
gegen weiteres Herabgleiten fest.
i i verbunden.
In: the drawing shows an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention, namely Fig. I shows a longitudinal section of the coupling in: the coupling position and Fig. Z shows a plan view of the coupling with the housing drawn in section. On the coupling body i an upwardly elongated pin guide z is provided, in which the coupling pin 3 slides in a known manner. If the clutch is to be brought into the standby position, lifting the housing q. by means of the handle 5 of the coupling bolt is raised until it is in its upper position in a known manner. It is essential here that the lever lever is at the same time the Geliäu @ se 4, which in the coupling position, as can be seen from Fig. requires. When inserting the drawbar eye 6 (Abh. A), the transmission is triggered by slightly lifting the coupling bolt 3, also in a known manner, with the spring 7 accelerating the housing a, i.e. the adjusting lever, downwards and the bolt 3 in .die Drawbar eye 4 shoots in. The case. is in .der end position with its lower edge on the coupling body and thus holds the coupling bolt against further sliding down. The connection between the housing d and the coupling bolt 3 is made by the transverse pin 8, for which slots g are provided in the bolt guide 2 on the right and left. In the coupled position, the housing ... covers the upper opening of the fastener guide y, as well as the lateral slots g to allow moisture or dirt to penetrate. to prevent in the fastener guide. The spring 7 is pushed over a sleeve io which is held in bearings ii. The housing d. is rotatably connected to the bearings ii by a bolt 1z which extends through the bushing io. The spring 7 engages with one end under the housing q., As shown in Fig. I, and with the other in a bore 13 of the bearing i i. The spring pin 15 with the handle 1q., Which is in the housing. is stored. This pin engages in a bore 16 of the bearing tongue ii when the coupling bolt reaches its lower position. During the coupling process, ie during the upward pivoting of the housing q., The pin 15 slides on the bearing surface ii, the spring 17 remains tensioned during the entire process. To uncouple the pin 14 is first pulled out and only then the housing q. pivoted by means of the handle 5 upwards.
