Fig. 2 bezw. Fig. 3 und Fig.8 eine Einzelheit.
Equipment that can be used for warm moistening and pressing out Fon compresses, for boiling medical instruments and for inhalation. The present invention relates to a device which can be used for warm moistening and pressing out compresses, for boiling medical instruments and for inhalation.
According to the invention, the same consists of an electrically heatable water container, a container with a perforated bottom that can be used in this and three different lids to be placed on the water container individually depending on the use of the device, and one of which carries two adjacent rollers, which are mounted with their axes in two carriers of the cover, namely one displaceable bar and the other immovable, where in the case of the displaceable roller by tension springs is pressed against the non-displaceable roller,
which carries a hand crank on one of its shaft ends protruding through the end wall of the cover, and the cover has an opening above the rollers, while the second cover is equipped with an outflow pipe that can rotate around its own axis, these two covers bearing a seal and have lateral flaps, in which the clamping elements arranged on the water container are to be engaged and the cover is intended to be pressed onto the water container, while the third cover is to be placed loosely on the same.
In the drawing, an example embodiment of the device is Darge provides. 1, 2 and 3 each show a perspective view of the device for warm humidification. and pressing of compresses respectively. for inhalation resp. for boiling medical instruments, Fig. 4 is a longitudinal section to .Fig. 1, Fig. 5, 6 and 7 one each.
Cross section to Fig. 1 respectively. Fig. 2 respectively. Figures 3 and 8 show a detail.
The electrically heatable water tank 1 has the electrical heating elements 3 under its intermediate floor 2, which are pressed against the intermediate floor 2 by the rails 4, the screws 5 and the bracket 6 supported on the floor of the Weser tank 1. The radiators 3 are connected to the plug socket 7 through the lines 8. Through the plug 9 and the line 10, the device is connected to the power supply.
The water tank 1 rests on the bottom at the four corners of it is arranged suction cups 11, the NEN as feet. He also has the handles 12 and the clamping organs 13 on two of its longitudinal walls:
, which consist of the carrier 14 fastened to the container 1, the screw bolts 15 steered at these aasge and the handles 16 that can be screwed onto these. In the interior of the container 1, rails 17 are attached, which serve to support the insertable into the water container 1 container 18, which has a perforated bottom 19.
The container 18 can by means of the bracket 2.0 shown in FIG. 8, which are to be attached to the handles 21 of the container 18, inserted into the container 1 and lifted out. The handles 21 consist of rag from the side walls of the container.
Depending on the intended use of the device, one of the covers 22 (FIGS. 1, 4 and 5), 23 (FIGS. 2 and 6) and 24 (FIGS. 3 and 7) can be placed on the container 1.
The cover 22 carries two rollers 25 and 26 lying next to one another, which are mounted with their axes 27 in two carriers 2, 8 of the cover 22, namely the roller 25 is displaceable and the roller 26 is mounted immovably in the cover, the roller 25 is pressed against the roller 26 by the tension springs 2.9, which act on the axis of the roller 25.
One end of the axis 27 of the roller 26 protrudes through the end wall of the cover 22 and carries the hand crank 30. The cover 22: be seated an opening 31 and two handles 32 above the rollers 25 and 26.
The cover 23: (FIGS. 2 and 6) is equipped with an outflow pipe 33 that can be rotated about its own axis and two handles 34. These two covers 22 and 23 are equipped with a seal 35 and have lateral tabs 36 into which the clamping elements 13 arranged on the water container 1 engage and press the covers 22 and 23 with their seal 35 onto the edge of the water container 1.
The lid 24, which sits a handle 37 be, is only placed on the container 1 loosely.
The device described above can be used for three different purposes, namely for warm moistening and pressing out rompresses, for inhaling and for boiling medical instruments.
By placing the cover 22 on the container 1 (FIGS. 1, 4 and 5), the device can be used for warm moistening and pressing out compresses, in that the water in the container 1 is heated by the heating element 3. Through the opening 31 one leads z.
B. the compress to be moistened and to be wound between tween the two rollers 25 and 26, whereupon they are rotated by means of the hand crank 30 until only the upper end of the Rompresse between the rollers 2.5 and 26, is dry remains while the rest of the rompress is immersed in the heated water. If the Rom press is sufficiently saturated with hot water, the hand crank 30 is turned in the opposite direction so that the rollers 25 and 2.6 press out the Rom press and convey it upwards. Most of the water is removed from the rompress while it remains warm.
The upper end of the compress, which only reaches the rollers 25 and 2.6 when immersed, remains dry and is consequently not heated. The compress can therefore be easily grasped at this end.
The compresses treated in the manner described above are warmer after pressing and therefore stay warm longer after being placed on the body than the hand-wound compresses, because the device ensures that the water is pressed out faster and in the heated container. There is also no need to touch the hot compresses with your hands. In addition, squeezing is more thorough than wringing out, which is an advantage, since the cooling of well-squeezed Kom presses is less rapid than those that still contain a lot of water.
Furthermore, the effect of well-pressed compresses on the skin is also more favorable.
The storage of the rollers 25 and 26 in the carriers 28 allows the former, which are mainly made of rubber or aluminum and in the latter case are grooved or knurled with advantage, to adapt to the thicknesses of the various compresses without the pressing out of the latter in any way is affected.
If the container 18 is inserted into the Wasserbe container 1 and completed with the lid 23 (Fig. 2 and 6), the device can be used as an inhaler in which the herbs or the like necessary to generate the inhalation vapor are poured into the container 18 . The water in the container 1 extends up to the container 18 so that the herbs are in the water. By heating the water by means of the heating element 3, the inhalation steam is generated and can flow out through the pipe 33.
The following procedure is used to boil medical instruments: The instruments to be boiled are placed in the container 18, which is in the water in the container 1. The latter is completed by placing the cover 24 on. By heating the water to the boiling point by means of the radiator 3 who the, then boiled the instruments, respectively. freed from impurities.
