Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Azofarbstoffes. Vorliegendes Patent bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Azofarb- stoffes, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man den Monoazofarbstoff aus dianotierter 4-Nitro- 4'-aminostilben-2.2'-disulfosäure und Phenol methyliert und reduziert, das so erhaltene Produkt dianotiert, in saurem Medium mit 2-Amino-5-oxynaphthalin-7-sulfosäure kup pelt,
den entstandenen o-Aminoazofarbstoff zur Triazolverbindung oxydiert und diese schliesslich in alkalischem Medium mit der Diazoverbindung von 4-Nitro-2-amino-l-anisol kuppelt.

bildet nach dem Abscheiden und Trocknen ein dunkelbraunes, wasserlösliches Pulver, das Baumwolle in braunstichigroter.Nuance färbt, die beim Nachkupfern rotstichig braun wird. Der Kupferkomplegfarbstoff, der aus diesem Farbstoff nach einer der bekannten Methoden erhalten wird, liefert auf Baumwolle ein sehr lichtechtes, gutziehendes Rotbraun.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 50,3 Teile des methylierten und dann mit Schwefelnatrium reduzierten Farbstoffes aus diazotierter 4-Nitro-4'-aminostilberr-2. 2'- disulfosäure und Phenol werden in üblicher Weise diazotiert und sauer mit 27,1 Teilen 2-Amino-5-oxynaphtbalirr-7-sulfosäure gekup pelt. Nach beendeter Farbstoffbildung wird angewärmt, der Farbstoff aasgesalzen, ab filtriert und ausgewaschen. Die Farbstoff paste wird in 1000 Teilen Wasser unter Zusatz von 30 Teilen kalzinierter Soda ge löst.
Zu dieser Lösung lässt man nun unter Kochen eine wässerige Lösung von 52 Teilen kristallisiertem Kupfersulfat innerhalb einer halben Stunde einlaufen und erhitzt noch eine Stunde nach. Das ausgefallene Kupfer oxydul wird abfiltriert und aus dem Filtrat wird durch Aassalzen das Triazol abge- schieden. Die so erhaltene Triazolverbindung wird in Gegenwart von Soda mit der Diazo- verbindung von<B>16,8</B> Teilen von 4-Nitro-2- amino-l-anisol gekuppelt.

The triazole compound thus obtained is coupled in the presence of soda with the diazo compound of 16.8 parts of 4-nitro-2-amino-1-anisole.
