Description

  

  Verfahren zur     Rerstellung    eines     Azofarbstoffes.       Es wurde gefunden,     dass    man zu wert  vollen     Azofarbstoffen    gelangt, wenn man       Diazoverbindungen    von Aminen der all  gemeinen Formel:         H!!N-Aryl-SO.--alkyl-COOH       mit solchen     Kuppelungskomponenten    ver  einigt, die keine     wasserlöslichmachenden     Gruppen enthalten.  



  Die neuen Farbstoffe sind insbesondere  zum Färben von     Acetatseide    geeignet. Die  Färbungen zeichnen sieh durch gute Echt  heitseigenschaften aus.  



  Die zur Herstellung der neuen Farbstoffe  verwendeten     Diazokomponenten    lassen sich  beispielsweise ausgehend von den     Alkalisalzen     der entsprechenden     Acetylamino-phenylthio-          glykolsäuren    durch Oxydation mit Kalium  permanganat in neutraler Lösung und an  schliessende Abspaltung des     Acetylrestes     durch Behandlung mit etwa<B>6 5</B>     ro        iger        Sc'hwe-          felsäure    herstellen.

      Vorliegendes Patent bezieht sich nun auf  ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     Azo-          farbstoffes,    dadurch gekennzeichnet,     dass        man          diazotierte        4-Aminophenylsulionylessigsäure     mit     Dimethyl-3-toluidin    kuppelt.  



  Der so erhaltene Farbstoff gibt auf     Ace-          tatseide    aus neutralem oder schwach essig  saurem Bade kräftige     rotstichig    orange Fär  bungen, die sich durch wertvolle Echtheits  eigenschaften auszeichnen.

      <I>Beispiel:</I>    21,5 Teile     4-Amino-phenylsulionylessig-          säure    werden in mineralsaurer Lösung mit       Natriumnitrit    in der üblichen Weise     diazo-          tiert.    Die erhaltene     Diazolösung    wird mit  einer salzsauren Lösung von<B>13,5</B> Teilen     Di-          methyl-3-toluidin    vereinigt, wonach durch  Abstumpfen der Mineralsäure mit     Natrium-          acetat    die     Farbstoffbildung    vollzogen wird.

    Das     Kuppelungsprodukt    wird abgesaugt, in      verdünnter     Natronlange    gelöst und als     Na-          triumsalz    abgeschieden.

  The new dyes are particularly suitable for dyeing acetate silk. The colorations are characterized by good fastness properties.



  The diazo components used to produce the new dyestuffs can be prepared, for example, starting from the alkali metal salts of the corresponding acetylamino-phenylthio-glycolic acids by oxidation with potassium permanganate in neutral solution and subsequent cleavage of the acetyl radical by treatment with about 6 5 ro make sulfuric acid.

      The present patent now relates to a process for the production of an azo dye, characterized in that diazotized 4-aminophenylsulionylacetic acid is coupled with dimethyl-3-toluidine.



  The dyestuff obtained in this way gives strong reddish-tinged orange dyes on acetate silk from a neutral or slightly acidic bath, which are distinguished by valuable fastness properties.

      <I> Example: </I> 21.5 parts of 4-aminophenylsulionyl acetic acid are diazotized in a mineral acid solution with sodium nitrite in the usual way. The diazo solution obtained is combined with a hydrochloric acid solution of 13.5 parts of dimethyl-3-toluidine, after which the dye is formed by blunting the mineral acid with sodium acetate.

    The coupling product is suctioned off, dissolved in dilute soda and deposited as the sodium salt.

PATENTANSPRUCH: Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Azo- farbstoffes, dadurch gekennzeiehnet, dass man diazotierte 4-Aminophenyl-sulfonyl- essigsäure mit Dimethyl-3-toluidin kuppelt. Der so erhaltene Farbstoff gibt auf Ace- tatseide aus neutralem oder schwach essig saurem Bade kräftige rotstichig orange Fär bungen, die sich durch wertvolle Echtheits eigenschaften auszeichnen.
