Description
<B>Zusatzpatent</B> zum Hauptpatent Nr. 178547. Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Farbstoffes der Anthrachinonreihe. Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen neuen, direktziehenden Farbstoff der Anthrächinon- reihe erhält, wenn man auf 1 Hol o-Tolidin 1 Hol 1-Amino-4-bromanthrachinon-2-sulfon- säure und 1 Hol Zimtsäurechlorid einwirken lässt.
Der neue Farbstoff bildet ein dunkles Pulver, das sich in Wasser mit blauer Farbe löst und auf Baumwolle ein reines grün- stichiges Blau von vorzüglicher Lichtechtheit erzeugt.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 51,3 Teile des Kondensationsproduktes aus 1-Amino-4-bi-omanthrachinon-2-sulfonsäure und o-Tolidin werden in 500 Teilen Wasser und 500 Teilen Pyridin gelöst. Unter gutem Rühren tropft man 18 Teile geschmolzenes Zimtsäurechlorid zu und erwärmt allmählich bis auf<B>85'.</B> Nach dem Erkalten und Gus- salzen filtriert man den ausgeschiedenen Farb stoff ab.

The new dye forms a dark powder that dissolves in water with a blue color and produces a pure green-tinged blue of excellent lightfastness on cotton.
<I> Example: </I> 51.3 parts of the condensation product of 1-amino-4-bi-omanthraquinone-2-sulfonic acid and o-tolidine are dissolved in 500 parts of water and 500 parts of pyridine. With thorough stirring, 18 parts of molten cinnamic acid chloride are added dropwise and the mixture is gradually heated to <B> 85 '. </B> After cooling and casting salts, the precipitated dye is filtered off.
