Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung einer ller captopyrimidinmetallkompleaverbindung. Gegenstand des Patentes ist ein Verfah ren zur Darstellung einer Mercaptopyrimidin- metallkomplexverbindung. Das Verfahren ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man auf 2-Thio- bat-bituryl-5-essigsäure ein wasserlösliches Goldsalz in Gegenwart eines Reduktions mittels und von Alkali zur Einwirkung bringt. Das angewandte Alkali tritt nicht in das Endprodukt ein. Die Reaktion erfolgt zweckmässig unter Verwendung von Wasser oder von wasserhaltigen Flüssigkeiten als Lösungsmittel.
Als Reduktionsmittel hat sich Bisulfit als vorteilhaft erwiesen.
Die so erhältliche Aurothiobarbiturylessig- säure wird durch Behandeln mit Natronlauge in ihr Natriumsalz übergeführt. Dieses kann aus der wässerigen Lösung zum Beispiel durch Ausfällung mit Methylalkohol als hell gelbes, in Wasser sehr leicht lösliches Pul ver abgeschieden werden. Das neue Pro dukt soll therapeutische Anwendung finden.
<I>Beispiel</I> 2,4Gewichtsteile 2-Thiobarbituryl-5-essig- säure und 1,1 Gewichtsteile Natriumbisulfit werden in einer Mischung von 40 Gewichts teilen Wasser und 10 Gewichtsteilen 5 n- Natronlauge gelöst und unter Rühren mit einer Lösung von 4 Gewichtsteilen Gold kaliumchlorid in 15- Gewichtsteilen Was ser versetzt.
Der entstandene Niederschlag von Aurothiobarbiturylessigsäure wird abge- nutscht, in n-Natronlauge gelöst und die Lö sung in Methylalkohol eingerührt, wobei das Natriumsalz ausfällt. Hellgelbes, in Wasser sehr leicht lösliches Pulver.

The applied alkali does not enter the final product. The reaction is expediently carried out using water or water-containing liquids as the solvent.
Bisulfite has proven to be an advantageous reducing agent.
The aurothiobarbituryl acetic acid obtainable in this way is converted into its sodium salt by treatment with sodium hydroxide solution. This can be separated from the aqueous solution, for example by precipitation with methyl alcohol, as a light yellow powder which is very easily soluble in water. The new product is intended to be used therapeutically.
<I> Example </I> 2.4 parts by weight of 2-thiobarbituryl-5-acetic acid and 1.1 parts by weight of sodium bisulfite are dissolved in a mixture of 40 parts by weight of water and 10 parts by weight of 5N sodium hydroxide solution and, while stirring, with a solution of 4 parts by weight of gold potassium chloride in 15 parts by weight of water added.
The resulting precipitate of aurothiobarbituryl acetic acid is filtered off with suction, dissolved in n-sodium hydroxide solution and the solution is stirred into methyl alcohol, the sodium salt precipitating out. Light yellow powder that is very easily soluble in water.
