Process for the preparation of a mixture of organic antimony complex salts. The main patent relates to a process for the preparation of a mixture of organic antimony complex salts. Which is characterized by the fact that p-acetylaminophenylstibinoxide is allowed to act on sodium pyrocatechol-3,5-disulphonic acid in such quantities that a neutral end reaction occurs.
The present patent relates to a process for the preparation of a mixture of organic antimony complex salts, which is characterized by this. that you can get pyrocatechol-3,5-disulfonic acid. p-Acetylaminophenylstibinoxyd, a calcium and a sodium compound can act on each other in such amounts that a neutral final reaction occurs.
The product is intended to be used for therapeutic purposes or as an intermediate for the manufacture of medicinal products. The best way to proceed is to first prepare a solution of the sodium salt of sulfonic acid, and then p-acetylaminophenylstibinoxide, which is advantageously produced from p-acetylaminophenylstibinel chloride in the reaction solution itself by the action of an alkali and lime milk to act.
It is also advantageous to first produce a mixed Ca-Na salt of catechol disulfonic acid from the calcium and sodium compounds and also the pyrocatechol-3,5-disulfonic acid and then to prepare p-acetylaminophenylstibine chloride in the presence of milk of lime let it act.
The mixtures of aminoarylstibine complex salts obtainable by the process according to the invention, in which only the elements calcium and sodium of the calcium and sodium compounds used are converted into the end product, always contain the same compounds. Its quantitative composition can, however, vary depending on the quantity ratio of the starting materials used, but the properties and usability remain unchanged.
Example From pyrocatechol-3,5-disulphonic acid and sodium chloride and further treatment with calcium chloride and sodium hydroxide solution, calcium sodium catechol disulphonic acid is produced according to the method of DRP.549207.
8 grams of this compound are combined in aqueous solution with a methyl alcoholic solution of 3.2 grams of p-acetylaminophenylstibine chlorine hydrochloride in methyl alcohol. 2N milk of lime is added until the reaction is neutral, filtered and precipitated by stirring into alcohol.
After separating and drying in vacuo, the resulting mixture of complex salts is obtained as a pale colored powder which easily dissolves in water with a neutral reaction. When hydrogen sulfide is introduced into the acidified aqueous solution of the mixture of complex salts, a yellow precipitate is obtained.
The same qualitative complex salt mixture can also be obtained, for example, if sodium pyrocatechol, sodium p-aoetylaminophenylstibine oxide and calcium hydrogen or p-acetylaminophenylstibine chloride, sodium pyrocatechol disulfonic acid, calcium chloride and sodium hydroxide solution are allowed to act on one another.
