Device for instantaneously rectifying the angular position of at least one of the indicator members in a clockwork movement. The subject of the invention is a device for instantaneously rectifying the angular position of at least one of the indicator members in a clockwork movement, in particular, but not exclusively of the minute hand in a pocket watch movement, of wristwatch or clock.
This device is characterized, according to the invention, in that it comprises a member which can be controlled at will and arranged so that it can act on the teeth of a mobile of the control mechanism of the indicating member. and communicate to this mobile a corrective angular movement. The device offers the possibility of instantly correcting, for example a small deviation in the rate of the minute hand or of correcting the angular position of the seconds hand of a timepiece, without having to resort to the setting mechanism. at the usual time.
The correction of the angular position of the indicator member (hand or disc) can take place at any time (for a second hand), but preferably at a fixed time, according to a time-comparator device marking the exact time , or according to an acoustic or optical time signal emitted at determined times, for example by means of radio by an observatory, a siren, a semaphore, etc.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention. Fig. 1 is a partial section along the winding stem of a movement: of a watch with a dial; Figs. 2 and 3 each show a partial plan view of this movement, the dial being represented by a small fragment letting you see a few organs .disposed under the dial.
In the drawing, we can see the frame 5 of the movement, the dial 6, the 7 minute hand, the 8 hour hand, the re-mount rod 9, the pinion 10 and the 11 wide wheel, as well as the frame comprising a carriageway 12 with twelve wings, the cannon wheel 13; the timer transmission 14 and its pinion 15. All these components offer nothing in particular, because they are found in any movement of current construction of a winding civilian watch. The roadway 12 is adjusted with greasy friction on the axis 16 of the pinion 10 of grand'moyenne; it is therefore driven with fatty friction by this axis 16 and carries the minute hand 7.
On the plate of the frame 5 is fixed at 18 a hammer 17 which is elastically flexible at 17 '. This hammer has a head 19 which rests, when the hammer is at rest, against the internal end of the winding stem 9. The latter has an additional axial play enabling it to be pushed beyond its position corresponding to winding. , so that the hammer 17 can be actuated using the winding stem and a nozzle 19 'of the hammer head 19 can act on the teeth of the roadway 12. The nozzle 19' has two symmetrical sides with respect to the axis passing through the winding stem and the center of rotation of the roadway.
In addition, the roadway having twelve wings, two of these wings, adjacent to each other, are arranged facing the spout 19 ', symmetrically on one side and the other of said axis, whenever minute hand 7 passes over a line marking five minutes on the minute graduation of dial 6 (fig. 3).
IT follows from this provision that the wearer of the watch has the option of instantaneously correcting the position of the minute hand 7 and correcting a rate deviation of approximately two and a half minutes plus or minus (early or late ) to the maximum, by pressing the winding crown, while observing the minute hand of a time device marking the exact time, an optical time signal, or at the instant of perception of an acoustic time signal , transmitted for example by a TS station
F. -Indeed, if the minute hand shows for example an advance of two minutes according to FIG. 2, it instantly performs a retro grade movement at an angle corresponding to two divisions of the dial minute scale (fig. 3), given. that 1a_ chaussée X2 is offset back by the same rectifying angle by the hammer 17, the nose of which 19 'penetrates into the toothing of the road, when the winding stem actuates the hammer.
At the same time, the position of the hour hand is rectified in a 12: 1 ratio, since the roadway is in gear relation with the barrel wheel 13, by means of the return 14 and the pinion 15 of the timer. As soon as one ceases to act on the crown respectively on the winding stem, the latter is returned to its initial position, under the action of the resiliently flexible hammer 17.
The functions are the same, when hand 7 lags behind, with the difference that the minute hand receives a corrective movement catching up, that is to say according to its positive direction of rotation.
The minute hand 7, in other words the indicator member, could be replaced by a rotating disc indicating the minutes. As for the hammer 17, it could be pivotally mounted, be subjected to the action of a return spring and be controlled by means of a member other than the winding stem, for example by means of a pusher, d 'a bolt, a pull tab or a lock.
The toothed mobile, intended to be actuated by the hammer, will not necessarily be constituted by the mobile carrying the indicator member. Instead of acting directly on the roadway, the hammer could act on an auxiliary roadway, a star or any other toothed mobile of the control mechanism of the indicator member and integral with the roadway or in a gear relation with it. this.
When the invention is applied to a second timepiece, in order to be able to instantly rectify the position of the second hand by a relatively large angle, the toothed wheel set, controlled by the hammer, will preferably be formed by a wheel driven with greasy friction by the driving mobile and driving itself, either directly or by means of one or more references, the mobile carrying the second hand. The essential thing is to determine exactly, for each embodiment of the object of the invention, the speed ratios of the gears in question and the reciprocal position of the hammer and of the mobile device controlled by the hammer.
The term "hammer" is to be interpreted in its broadest sense, because the hammer can be formed by any member controlled directly or indirectly and acting radially by a nose on the teeth of the mobile whose angular position is to be rectified.
