Knüpfapparat zum Bilden von Weberknoten. Vorliegende.
Tying machine for making weaver knots. Present. The invention relates to an apparatus for forming weavers' knots, which apparatus is generally known under the designation "Weberlkniipfer", and in particular to a weaver of the type in which a knotting beak is rotatably arranged between two sides of the apparatus.
over which the threads to be linked are laid across. after the knot has been pulled, the threads are pulled off the knotting beak by an outward vibration of one side of the apparatus.
Until now, it was necessary for knotters of the above type. to hold one or more of the threads by hand during the knotting process, and while this does not entail any serious disadvantages under normal circumstances, since the user only has to hold the threads after he has laid them across the knotter, it is advantageous for certain purposes to be able to operate the knotter without having to hold the threads by hand.
The invention has for the purpose of creating an improved knotting apparatus according to the Sehwingarmtyp mentioned above, in which the need to hold the threads by hand is eliminated, and which, thanks to the automatic holding of the threads, results in more even ends of the knot. than they can be reached by hand while holding the threads.
The knotting apparatus of the above type is characterized according to the invention by the fact that it is provided with two slits on each side and that each slit has a clamping member that works together with the knotting beak so that the threads are timed correctly during the knotting process to be held and let go.
The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment from the subject of the invention. Fig. 1 is a plan view of the Knüpfappa rates with swing arm in the upper part; Fig.2 is a side view of the Appa rates, seen against the side opposite the swing arm; Fig. 3 is a side elevation of the swing arm side; Fig. 4 is a rear view and Fig. 5 is a front view.
The knotting apparatus shown is supported on a support 10, which is shown broken off, but on which a strap or handle is arranged through which the worker can bring his hand so that the knotting apparatus can be brought to the hand in such a way that the Fingers are released and the pusher 11 assumes a suitable position for actuation by the thumb. The carrier, the handle and the pusher are expediently set up for use on each hand, regardless of whether the knotting apparatus shown is created for the left hand.
On the carrier two main frame members 13 are arranged and attached, between which and on a pivot bil Denden part of the screw 12 .ein tooth quadrant 14 is mounted. In the upper part, the support members 13 (Fig. 4) diverge and are formed into a frame 15 on which various parts of the knotting apparatus, described in more detail later, are mounted.
The pusher 11 forms a projecting part of the tooth quadrant and is used to operate the latter. The teeth 16 of the tooth quadrant 14 engage in a worm 17 on a knot-beak spindle 18, which is rotatably mounted in the rear and front part of the frame 15. The knotting beak <B> 18 '</B> sits firmly on the front part of the knotting beak spindle 18. The rotating knotting beak has a root 19 indicated in FIG. 2 with dotted lines.
This root part rotates in a non-circular off nang <B> 20 '</B> of a front transverse arm 20 of the frame 15. When the knotting beak 181 is rotated, the root 19 is in and out of contact with the upper edge of the opening 201 brought and is accordingly on its pivot, which is also indicated in Fig. 2 with dotted lines, pushed in and out so that the knotting beak is opened and closed like a pair of scissors.
A supporting with the upper end against one of the frame members 13, around the screw 12 coiled spring 21 presses on the underside of the pusher 11 and is striving to keep the pusher and thus also the quadrant in the position in which the whole apparatus is ready for use. The entire knotting mechanism is operated from the handle.
A serving as a rotary nose screw 12 extending part of the Qua dranten 14 has a slot 22 (Fis. 2) and near the rear end of this slot 22 a horn 23 which extends transversely to the apparatus against the swing arm side.
An angle lever is rotatably mounted on a slightly backward-curved extension of the frame member 13 on the side opposite the swing arm, one arm 24 of which carries a roller 25 on its inside which engages in the slot 22. The other arm 26 of said angle lever engages in a fork 27 which protrudes from a sliding arm 28. The arm 28 is slidable on fastening screws 29 which fasten a side plate 30 to the frame 15 and lies between the plate 30 and the frame 15. The stationary side plate 30 has a front slot 31 and a rear slot 32 near its front end.
Likewise, the slide arm 28 has a front and a rear slot 33, 34. Between the slots 38 and 34, an arm 35 branches off from the slide arm 28 and crosses the knot beak backwards in an arc against the swing arm 36, which at 37 on the rear part of the Frame 15 is rotatably mounted and swingable outwards, with a spring 38 wound around the pivot pin 37 tending to bring the swing arm into the closed or normal position.
The swing arm 36 is rotatable transversely to the front side of the knotting beak and be seated a hood 39 which engages over the knotting beak, and a slot 40 with which a cutting member 41 works together. The latter is actuated by an arm 42 which passes through a slot in the front part of the swing arm and is hori zontally rotatable about the screw 43 under the swing arm. Actuation of the cutting member 41 is caused by upward rotation of the inner end of the arm 42 at 44 where it comes into contact with a cooperating part of the frame 15 and is held when the swing arm is moved outward.
On the inside of the swing arm, a slide 45 is arranged with an upwardly projecting, slightly bent part 46 on the front part, so that a slot 47 is formed between it and the swing arm. From the screw 43 a spring 48 protrudes upwards, which, although on the swing arm, is conveniently referred to as a stationary spring, and behind this the slide 45 carries a further spring 49. In this way, a slot 50 is formed between the two springs, and when the slider is moved forward, the slots 4 7 and 50 are closed and sandwiched between them.
The slide 45 is not only displaceable, but can also be easily raised and lowered in the rear end, and the up and down movement on the rear part also pushes it forward. This movement is therefore brought about by the cooperation of a pin 51, which projects from a downwardly extending part 52 of the slide, which pin projects into the path of movement of a pivot arm 53. This arm comes into contact with a lifting surface on the quadrant by means of a roller pin 54 protruding through an opening in the adjacent frame part 13, which lifting surface lifts the pivot arm 53 when it is moved by the pusher.
This arm, in turn, pushes the pin 51 upwards and thus moves the rear part of the latter upward and the front part forward through the downward-facing part 52 of the slide 45. The downwardly projecting part 52 of the slider 45 also comes into contact with the horn 28 of the quadrant when the horn is moved upwards shortly before the end of the driving movement of the quadrant, and since the horn 23 and the part operated by it are designed to cooperate , this interaction results in an outward oscillation of the swing arm 36 about its pivot pin 37.
To use the knotting device, you take it in your left hand, as it is built for the left hand lying down, and after the left thumb has been placed on the pusher, the two threads to be linked are placed across the device.
A thread, for example the rear one, is passed across the apparatus behind the arm @ 35 into the slot 50, the slot 34 in the slide and the slot 32 in the stationary side arm. The other thread, for example the front one, is guided into the slot 47 and into the slots 33 and 31 in the slide and in the stationary arm,
and when pulling down into these two slots, the front of the thread is passed over the hood 39 and ge thus reached under this hood and across to the Knüpfschnabelspindel just behind the Knüpfschnabel. During the transition from this position into the slots 33 and 31, the front thread is guided into the slot of the shearing device on the edge of the inwardly directed front part of the swing arm.
When the threads are brought into this position, they are at the bottom of the slots and both lie straight across the knotting spindle, with the front thread being closer to the knotting beak than the back thread. In this position they can be safely released.
With reference to Fig. 2 it should be noted that the slots in the slide and in the fixed arm do not coincide, and therefore when the threads are pulled through the slots in the slide and in the fixed arm, they take an inclined position when passing in the plan and are not pulled straight across, as they are in the open slots of the swing arm. This change of direction manifests itself in a certain friction or inhibition on the threads, which tends to hold them against sliding or slipping.
As soon as the pusher is pressed down, the knotting beak begins to rotate in the opposite direction to the clockwise, and at the same time the angle lever arm 26 engaging in the fork 27 moves the slide 45 forward.
At the same time, the lever 53 is lifted and pushes the pin 51 upwards, which moves the slide 45 on the inside of the swing arm by the mechanism described above, and the spring 49 is pressed against the spring 48 and the thread lying in the slot 50 pinched, while the other thread in the slot 47 between the projection 46 of the .Slider and the front surface of the swing arm is clamped.
The threads are thus clamped on the swing arm side, while the tension of the threads on the opposite side is loosened somewhat, since the slots are in alignment on this side.
While the knot is being tightened, the clamping pressure on the twine on the swing arm side is not loosened, while on the opposite side - the pressure caused by the forward moving slide is first released, then exerted again when the slide decreases and is increased even further if the slide is still moving is moved back further, which movement is dominated by the shape of the slot 22.
When the knot is fully tightened, the horn 2.3 comes into contact with the downward part 52 of the slider 45 as the pusher continues to move downward, causing the swing arm to swing outward and pull the knot off the knot beak. When the arm moves outwards, the shearing device on the front part of the swing arm is actuated and the thread strand lying in it is cut off. The loose end produced by this cut is at least approximately of the same length as the end produced during the cutting process of the knotting beak.
The first complete turn of the knotting beak forms a loop of the front thread around the beak, and the rear thread, which is moved forward by the slider on the fixed side, is pulled across the knotting beak shaft close behind the beak. On the second, complete turn of the beak, the front thread gets a second loop and the back thread a first, and when the beak rises it is opened and cuts! The rear thread on the stationary side,
so that only the front thread in the beak cutter and in the front slot remains on the stationary side.
During this shearing, the swing arm begins to open, and when opening it pulls the loops formed from the knot beak, which, however, continues to hold the cut strand of thread over which the others are pulled. When the swing arm continues to swing outwards, the front thread is cut off by the shearing device on the front, which frees it from the stationary side, and the two linked threads are held in the slots of the swing arm from which they are removed when the clamping elements release the threads when the pressure is released.
From this it can be seen that the various strands of thread are held as it is necessary in chronological coordination with the movements of the knotting bill, and that they are cut off as it is necessary during the progress of the knotting process.
It is known that it has been proposed in non-swing arm type knotting apparatus to use two slots or openings for the threads on each side of the apparatus, the threads being laid in a straight line across the apparatus in front of and behind the knotting beak, and it is on the use of such double slots in and of itself, or the use of such slots in other knotting apparatuses that do not belong to the swing arm type, make no claim.
