Description
Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Kiipenfarbstoffpräparates. Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Küpenfarb- stoffpräparates, welches dadurch gekennzeich net ist, dass man 4-Methyl-6-chlor-3-oxythio- naphten in Gegenwart einer Kupferverbindung zu dem entsprechenden Thioindigo im alkali schen Medium oxydiert.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 100 Gewichtsteile 4-Methyl-6-ohlor-3-oxy- thionaphten werden mit 80 Gewichtsteilen Schwefel, 200 Gewichtsteilen Sprit und 1 bis 10 Gewichtsteilen Kupfersulfat in 5 bis 50 Gewichtsteilen Wasser angerührt. Dann wird mit Wasser auf 3000 Gewichtsteile ein gestellt und auf 60 C erhitzt. Es werden nun 200 Gewichtsteile Natronlauge von 40 B6 zugegeben. Die Temperatur wird nun zum Sieden gebracht, und es wird so lange nacherhitzt, bis die Farbstoffbildung beendet ist. Dann wird filtriert, ausgewaschen und der Presskuchen wird entweder getrock net oder auf wässerige Paste eingestellt.
Statt Kupfersulfat kann auch irgend eine andere Kupferverbindung genommen werden. Das so hergestellte Küpenfarbstoffpräparat verküpt sich erheblich rascher, als der ohne Zusatz einer Kupferverbindung hergestellte Farbstoff.

<I> Example: </I> 100 parts by weight of 4-methyl-6-chloro-3-oxy-thionaphtene are mixed with 80 parts by weight of sulfur, 200 parts by weight of fuel and 1 to 10 parts by weight of copper sulfate in 5 to 50 parts by weight of water. Then it is set to 3000 parts by weight with water and heated to 60C. 200 parts by weight of sodium hydroxide solution of 40 B6 are now added. The temperature is now brought to the boil and heating is continued until the dye formation has ended. It is then filtered, washed out and the press cake is either dried or adjusted to an aqueous paste.
Any other copper compound can be used instead of copper sulfate. The vat dye preparation produced in this way evaporates considerably more quickly than the dye produced without the addition of a copper compound.
