31ehrfarbenrotationsdruckmaschine.
31 multicolor rotary printing press. Since considerable progress has recently been made in the process of printing inks ready for printing in volatile solvents, primarily aniline inks, not only that the colors have been considerably improved and more and more adapted to printing using high-pressure rubber plates, but The production of these plates has also been significantly improved by the lead stamping of the die, the process is being used more and more through the construction of suitable machines, not only as before,
in paper processing for packaging purposes, but also in book printing. As a result of these improvements, it is difficult, even for a person skilled in the art, to distinguish between a paper print that has been carefully produced using the current state of technology and letterpress printing.
The ability of the inks prepared in volatile solvents to dry very quickly makes printing several colors on top of one another in one operation extremely easier.
The present invention relates to a further advance in the improvement and versatility of the corresponding, direct printing multicolor rotary machines, in that the arrangement of their printing units in relation to one another, as well as the drive and paper guiding devices, are such that not only one-sided four-color prints, but also Two-color prints in face and back printing and finally three-color prints in face printing and single-color printing in reverse printing can all be produced in just one operation.
The versatility can be increased by adding further printing units.
In the drawing, the machine is shown cally and for example. Fig. 1 shows the paper path and the direction of rotation of the cylinders when the paper web is to be printed in four colors on one side. A is the drive wheel, which on both sides, in the example up and down, mediates the pressure cylinders D ', D', </ I by means of the intermediate wheels Z 'and Z' > Ds and from these drives the forme cylinders F and thus also the inking units located on the same. The paper web C can be guided differently in relation to the printing cylinders by means of adjustable guide rollers L.
If one side of the paper web C is to be printed with three colors (face printing) and the other side with one color (reverse printing), then, as FIG. 2 shows, two other intermediate wheels are used for the intermediate gear Z2 Z 'and Z4 switched on, whereby the pressure cylinder D' is brought ge in the reverse direction of rotation.
The intermediate gear Z4 engages on the one hand in the drive gear, on the other hand in the wheel of the printing cylinder DI, but also in the intermediate gear Z, 'and is shifted by its engagement in the wheel of the printing cylinder D' in the desired opposite direction of rotation, with so also the associated printed matter. In this case, the paper web C must be guided accordingly, as shown in FIG.
If both sides of the paper web are to be printed, i.e. front and back printing are to be carried out in two colors, then, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, both printing cylinders are made D- 'and D3 in the same direction of rotation reversed to DI by the intermediate gear Z' is set so that it engages on the one hand in the drive wheel, on the other hand in the intermediate gear Z4 and this again in both wheels of the pressure cylinders D 'and D'.
The paper web can then be guided either according to FIG. 3 or according to FIG. 4, depending on requirements. The main advantage of the described machine is that it can be used in a variety of ways, with not only easy handling and operation of the machine, but also its conversion to the various types of printing being achieved in just a few simple steps.
