Mehrfarben-Rot. itionsdriiekmasehiiie.

Multicolor red. itionsdriiekmasehiiie.
Since the process of printing inks prepared to be printable in volatile solvents, primarily aniline inks, has recently made considerable progress, not only by significantly improving the colors and more and more adapting them to printing using rubber heightening plates, but also the production of these plates by the Lead embossing of the die has been significantly improved, it is used more and more, not only in paper processing for packaging purposes, but also in book printing. As a result of these improvements, it is difficult even for a person skilled in the art to distinguish an anilimprint carefully produced according to the current state of this technology from letterpress printing.
The ability of the inks prepared in liquid solvents to dry very quickly makes printing several colors on top of one another in one work step extremely easy.
The present invention relates to a further advance in the improvement and versatility of the corresponding, direct printing multicolor rotary machines, in that they are now suitable due to a special arrangement of their printing units to each other, only by changing the paper flow and changing the direction of rotation of one or more printing units, not just one-sided Four-color printing, but also two-color printing in front and back printing and finally three-color printing in face printing and single-color printing in reverse printing, all in one operation.
When further printing units are arranged according to the principle of the invention, the versatility can be increased.
In the drawing, the arrangement of the printing units and the paper path is shown schematically and for example.
EMI1.1
should be printed in four colors. A is the drive wheel, which drives the printing cylinders D on both sides, up and down in the example, by means of the intermediate wheels Z1 and Z2, and from there the forme cylinders F and thus also the inking units located on them. The position of the paper web C in relation to the printing cylinders can be regulated by means of adjustable guide rollers L.
If one side of the paper web C is to be printed with three colors (face printing) and the other side with one color (reverse printing), two other intermediate gears Z3 and Z "are switched on for the intermediate gear Z2, as a result of which the Printing cylinder D is brought in the opposite direction of rotation. The intermediate gear Z4 engages on the one hand in the drive wheel, on the other hand in the wheel of the printing cylinder D2, but also in the intermediate gear Z3, and by engaging it in the wheel of the printing cylinder D3, this becomes the desired opposite direction of rotation performed, so with it the associated printing unit.
In this case, the paper web C must be guided accordingly, as shown in FIG.
If both sides of the paper web C, ie Schön- and Widrrdruek, are to be printed in two colors, then, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, both printing cylinders D and D3 are reversed in the same direction of rotation against D 'by the double wheel Z3 is set so that it engages on the one hand in the drive wheel, on the other hand in the intermediate gear Z4 and this again in both wheels of the printing cylinders D2 and D3. The paper web can then be guided either according to FIG. 3 or according to FIG. 4, depending on requirements.

The main success of the invention results from the versatility of the relatively simple arrangement of the machine and its printing units to one another, which not only makes the machine easy to handle and operate, but also enables it to be switched to the various types of printing in a few simple steps.
