Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent Nr. <B>152883.</B> Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen Azofarbstoffes. Es wurde gefunden, dass man einen neuen Azofarbstoff der Formel:

erhält, #venn man den 4. 2'-Dichlor-2-diazo- 1 l'-diphenyläthei- mit dein p-Phetietidid der 2 3-Oxynaphthoesäure kuppelt.
Der so erhaltene Farbstoff bildet ein hell rotes Pulver. Auf geeigneten Substraten, wie zum Beispiel Baumwolle, hergestellt, färbt er diese in leuchtenden, ausserordentlich echten Tönen.
<I>Beispiel:</I> 25,4 Teile 4. 2'-Dichlor-2-amino-1 <B>.</B> l'-di- phenyläther werden wie üblich diazotiert und in eine Lösung von<B>30,2</B> Teilen des p-Pheiie- tidids der 2<B>.</B> 3-Oxynaphthoesäure, <B>60</B> Teilen <B>30</B> '/oiger Natronlauge,<B>15</B> Teilen Soda und 2000 Teilen Wasser eingetragen. Der ge bildete Farbstoff fällt sofort aus. Er wird filtriert, gewaschen und getrocknet.
