Additional patent to main patent No. 145446. Process for the production of a metal-containing dye. It has been found that a new metal-containing dye is obtained if the dye is made from diazotized 5-nitro-2-amino-1-phenol and 2-phenylamino-5-oxynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid, a copper-releasing agent and a Let nitrosating agents act on each other.
The dye formed is a dark-colored powder that dissolves in water and in dilute alkalis with blue-violet and in conc. Dissolves sulfuric acid with a purple color. It dyes natural silk from neutral and artificial silk from neutral or alkaline bath in level blue-violet tones.
Example <I> 1: </I> 154 parts of 5-nitro-2-amino-1-phenol who are diazotized and combined with 320 parts of 2-phenylamino-51 oxynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid to form the azo dye in the presence of soda and sodium bicarbonate. This is crystallized by boiling with the solution of 250 parts of copper sulfate. transferred to the copper connection. The copper compound is suspended in 50,000 parts of water and 60 parts of sodium hydroxide are added.
Add 70 parts of sodium nitrite and set to 10 with ice. Over the course of several hours, the solution of 200 parts of concentrated sulfuric acid is added. in 2000 parts of water. After 24 hours, the dye is converted into a readily filterable form by adding sodium chloride, isolated and dried.
<I> Example 2 </I> 154 parts of 5-nitro-2-amino-1-phenol are diazotized and, in the presence of alkalis, with 320 parts of 2-phenylamino-5-oxynaphthalene-7-sulfonic acid to form the azo dye combined. After the coupling is complete, the copper oxide ammonia solution of 250 parts of crystalline is added. Copper sulfate, the resulting copper compound is heated and filtered. This' ird dissolved in -50,000 parts of water and treated with 70 parts of sodium nitrite.
Set to 5 to 10 'with ice and give the dilute solution of 20 parts of sulfuric acid conc. to. After 24 hours, the dye is isolated by salting out and dried.
The copper plating can also be carried out by other known methods using a wide variety of copper-releasing agents; Likewise, other nitrosating agents besides -the -Alkalinitriter.-, such as amyl nitrite, can be used.
