Large spray carburettor. The present invention is a large spray carburetor for combustion engines, in which a device for the passage of additional air allows a second wise arm of the gas mixture, therefore, a large diffusion of the mixture with the aim that the combustion of the gases is complete, that carbon from the spark plugs and engine pistons is removed.
In the accompanying drawing, given by way of example, FIGS. 1 to 7 show the spare parts of one embodiment of the carburetor; Fig. 8 shows the mounted carburetor in horizontal section; Fig. 9 is a detail view.
The device for admitting the additional air to the carburetor comprises an additional air box or chamber e, o, provided with holes at the periphery for the entry of the additional air to the carburetor.
This chamber e, o is surmounted by a movable adjustment box g, m, communicating with the previous one through holes provided in the back wall. Between the air reception chamber and the mobile adjustment box is interposed a mobile plate la, in the shape of a crown, pierced with holes making the reception box e, o communicate with the mobile box g, m.
This plate only works on engine suction if the throttle valve opens. The opening and closing of the additional air orifice are controlled by unit N. The carburetor box c is attached to the engine, it contains the throttle valve. This box is extended at d by a tube called the carburizing tube, pierced with holes i at the lower part which communicates with the chamber e, o. This perforated tube forms an air spray distributor to the diffuser.
This diffuser is cylindrical or conical, also pierced with a multitude of holes. 11 receives the additional air which completes and makes perfect the gases formed at the engine intake.
Diffusion of the mixture occurs before passing through the butterfly.
The diffuser a is extended by a support in which is arranged a drive diffuser b in the center of which is placed the main jet.
The device comprising the carburizing chamber c, the air adjustment box g, m, the additional air chamber e, o, the diffusers a and b, is fixed using nut f screwed onto the drive diffuser b through which the main jet passes.
The idle diffuser p, k has its support or cage i attached to the fuel chamber.
The detail of the idle jet is shown in fig. 9.
In this figure, p is the nozzle with conical adjustment, q an air reservoir at the nozzle, 7- its diffuser and s air passages to the diffuser.
With the aid of the device described above, the carburetor sucks in a large quantity of air, which results in a reduction in gasoline and provides savings which vary between 20 and 35%.
Condensation does not occur in the piping and the combustion being complete, it follows that the spark plugs remain clean and that no carbon forms on the piston heads.
