Device for clamping the printing plates on the forme cylinder of rotary printing machines. In a known device for holding the printing plates on the form cylinder of rotary printing machines, a screw spindle is used, which has a normal thread for forward and backward sliding of the clamping ring and a coarse thread for rapid forward and backward movement of the screw spindle.
The parent thread, with which the high helix thread works, is fixed so that its position cannot be adapted to the respective desired stroke of the clamp ring.
To remedy this inconvenience, according to the invention for the engagement of the coarse thread a rotatable, provided with a stop on their end face serving as an abutment for the screw spindle Nu tenbüchse provided, which can be set by associated means in the desired rotational position on the cylinder.
This rotatable grooved bushing has the further advantage that it can be manufactured as a single piece and used in the finished state.
In the drawing, the subject invention is illustrated, for example; The figures show: Fig. 1 a longitudinal section through the clamping device with the clamp ring tightened, Fig. 2 a corresponding longitudinal section with the clamp ring released, and Fig. 3 a section along the line A-B in Fig. 1.
The forme cylinder 1 carries a pressure plate 2, which is held by means of a clamp ring 3, which is moved by turning the screw 4 by means of the square 5 against the printing plate edge or away from it. Apart from the normal thread -l :, the screw spindle has a coarse thread 6, which slides with its end face 8 on the end face of a sleeve 7 (Fig. 1) and can enter a continuous groove 6a of the sleeve 7, which can be penetrated by a screw 9 is attached, which engages half in the sleeve 7 and half in a body 1 firmly connected to the disc 10.
In order to ensure that when turning back the screw spindle 4, the steep thread 6 runs into the groove 6a, a stop 11 is provided on the inner face of the sleeve 7, which can be viewed as a protruding continuation of the groove 6a.
If you now turn the screw spindle -t in the direction of the arrow in Fig. 1, the normal thread rotates in the clamping ring 3 so that it is withdrawn by the pitch of this thread. The end face 12 of the normal thread presses against the cylinder surface. But as soon as the Steilge thread 6 strikes against the stop 11, the whole spindle including the clamp ring is withdrawn more quickly so that the plate 2 can be easily removed.
The sleeve 7 is now rotatably arranged in the disc 10 and can be fixed by means of the screws 9 in various screw holes provided on the circumference of the sleeve: 7. With this adjustable arrangement of the bushing, its position can be adapted to the respective desired stroke of the clamp ring 3.
