Au dessin annexé est représentée une forme d'exécution du tendeur-scelleur sui vant l'invention, à. titre d'exemple et sché matiquement: La fig. 1 montre. en vue perspective, un bloc scelleur proprement dit; Les fig. 2_ et 3 montrent respectivement les pinces disposées de part et d'autre du bloc scelleur; La fig. 4 montre la déformation pouvant être \produite sur le lien par une pince;
A cet effet (fig.
Sealing tensioner for strapping crates, bales etc. The present invention relates to a sealer tensioners for strapping crates, bal the :, etc., comprising clamps for holding and stretching the two ends of the link # -t an oscillating sealer block to calibrate and block the.
clevis on said ends, characterized in that the pivoting clamp serving to hold the lower end of the link is disposed immediately near the oscillating sealer block and has at its antero-upper part a sloping and slightly concave surface against which the strand free upper @du link is guided and raised, and thus separated from the lower end, the edge of this surface further forming a counter blade with.
which comes into operation a cutting blade fixed to the adjacent side of the oscillating sealer, so that the free end of the tie is sheared during the sealing process itself.
In the accompanying drawing is shown an embodiment of the tensioner-sealer following the invention, to. by way of example and matically dried: FIG. 1 watch. in perspective view, a sealer block proper; Figs. 2_ and 3 respectively show the clamps arranged on either side of the sealer block; Fig. 4 shows the deformation which can be produced on the link by a clamp;
Fig. 5 shows the shearing device constituted by the. combination of the sealing block and the clamp used to hold the lower end of the link; Figs. 6 and 7 respectively show the clamp and the sealer adapted to this device: FIG. 8 shows the part of the link for the screed after sealing.
The actual sealing block, of known construction, consists (fig. 1) of a blade holder P on which two blades <I> L are fixed; It, </I> by means of two dowels <I> a, a '. </I> The blade holder is capable of oscillating around an axis 0 mounted on a support <B> <I> S </I> </B>, and its posterior part is provided with an extension Pi (see also fig. 7). Between the upper ends of the two blades <I> L, L '</I> is journaled an axis f carrying a roller G, intended to receive the pressure of an eccentric E. This eccentric is actuated using a lever B.
In its forward movement, it produces the lowering of the slats <I> L, L ', </I> whose ends e, e' fit into appropriate recesses made in the plate p of the support S. In its backward movement, the eccentric E comes into operation, through its lower part, with the. tail Pl, of the blade holder, which it thus allows to lift.
The tensioning device, also known per se, which is used in combination with this sealer, comprises two clamps (fig. 2 and 3), placed on either side of said sealer. These clamps respectively comprise a jaw B capable of oscillating about an axis F mounted on a support <I> II, </I> under the action of an eccentric C. This jaw comprises teeth <I> d, </I> which, when said jaw is lowered by the eccentric C, fit into corresponding cavities A formed in the. base of the support H, and between which we insert one end of the bond to be sealed.
A spring r raises the jaw when the eccentric is lifted.
It is therefore conceivable that after having placed on the plate <I> p, </I> below the blades <I> L, L ', </I> the yoke 7 surrounding the two ends of the link I respectively maintained by the jaws B. to block the whole thing, it suffices to turn lever B forward. Under the pressure of the eccentric R, the blades gradually close and calibrate the yoke to the size of the link; when the resistance offered by the two superimposed thicknesses of the link acts, the two blades perform the desired work of deformation, at the places corresponding to their ends e, e '(fig. 8).
The clamp B serving to hold the lower end of the link is combined in such a way with the sealer that it forms therewith a shearing device by which the upper end or free end of the link is cut during the process itself. sealing.
For this purpose (fig. 5, G, 7), said clamp, (it is placed immediately near the sealing block, comprises, at its upper part, a sloping and slightly concave surface h against which is guided and raised the strand upper Ii of the link, which is thus separated (read lower strand T2. In addition, the edge D of this surface forms a counter blade with which comes into operation a cutting blade D 'fixed to the adjacent side of the oscillating sealer. base p can be provided with a recess N.
The operation of the shears thus formed is readily apparent from this description When the blade holder P is lowered by means of the eccentric E to calibrate and seal the yoke I on the link, the blade D 'first cuts the strand upper Li, and that without there being any risk of cutting or damaging the lower end 12. Continuing its course, the blade holder blocks the yoke 7 and subsequently deforms the recess N in the strand L to accommodate the end of strand II.
To ensure a better hold of the lower end 12 during these operations, the. clamp B can be shaped in a special way (fig. 2): in the example shown. the teeth d, d 'of this clamp have a trapezoidal section, to which corresponds an identical shape of the recesses A. In this way, by pressing on the link, the clamp B prints on it two angular notches (fig. 4) offering a side perpendicular to the direction of the force of tension exerted on the link, which prevents any slippage of said link.
This result is moreover obtained by a simple deformation given to the link, and without removing material, so that the strength of the link is in no way affected.
