Abstract

The present invention concerns a device intended for cutting hair and in particular the fringe. More specifically, it concerns a device for positioning and holding the hair, incorporating two cutting blades and offering accuracy and ease of use. It concerns a device for holding and cutting locks of hair comprising two assemblies, one assembly positioned on the forehead of the user of said device and one assembly hinged to the first about an axis of rotation, the first assembly comprising a lower holding means consisting of a surface to be arranged against the forehead and a toothed receiving means for receiving the hair on the other surface, a fixed cutting blade and a means for keeping the hair inserted into the receiving means away from the blade, the second assembly comprising an upper holding means receiving a movable cutting means, said cutting means being held in position by a torsion spring means fixed about the axis of rotation and protected by a gripping protection means operable by a manipulation means.

FRUIT CUTTING DEVICE

Field of the invention

The present invention relates to a device for cutting the hair and more particularly the bangs. More specifically, it is a device for setting up and maintaining hair incorporating two cutting blades and offering precision and ease of use.

Brief description of the prior art

The cut of a fringe and its maintenance require regular retouching, very expensive if performed by a hairdresser. Individuals sometimes venture to cut their own bangs with the help of conventional scissors and a comb. But it requires some control if one wants to get a straight and uniform fringe and these operations, which require precision and skill, are not within the reach of all.

Many devices and tools have been developed to help individuals cut their bangs more easily and correctly.

Certain patents, such as US1355038, disclose helmet-like helmet-like devices comprising a horizontal and circular line passing over the forehead and marking the line along which the fringe may be cut.

Other products, such as the one sold under the Créaclip brand, propose a bar system enclosing the bangs and serving as a template for cutting the bangs along a suitable line.

The disadvantage of these devices is however not to integrate the cutting means and require to be equipped with scissors. Tools incorporating a blade or a means for cutting the bangs have therefore been developed.

US2012222316 discloses an apparatus whose main part, which comprises a comb and a sliding blade, is fixed against the front of the user and maintained by a belt around the head. The bangs are arranged on the comb at the desired height and cut with the blade sliding along the comb. But such a device does not effectively maintain the hair in place during cutting, making the operation delicate and imprecise.

Patent CN204566173 proposes a tool consisting of two plates located opposite each other and each equipped with a blade. The hair is held between the two plates. At the ends of each plate are rods equipped with rings in which the fingers can slide. The manipulation of these rods allows to bring the blades closer and thus cut the bangs. Again, the device as patented does not allow maintenance effective fringe between the two plates, the fringe sliding and moving, removing any precision to the cutting operation.

The US9168661 patent relates to a folding and deformable cutting apparatus in the desired form: two articulated pieces are opposite, between which will be retained the hair to be cut, each of the parts comprising a blade, one movable, the other not. A button, which is located in the center of the device, allows pushing the movable blade to the second blade. When the device encloses the bangs, the user presses the button and cuts the hair. But the grip of this device is delicate because it must both hold on its ends so that it remains in the desired cutting axis, while pressing the central button to operate the blade. Moreover, the shape given to this deformable tool is random and lacks precision.

The present invention aims to overcome all these disadvantages by providing a high-performance, easy-to-use, self-powered and compact fringe cutter.

Summary of the invention

The present invention aims to overcome all the disadvantages of the prior art by providing a hair cutting device, and mainly the fringe, whose use is simple and accurate.

It is a device for holding and cutting locks of hair comprising two sets, a set placed on the front of the user of said device and an assembly articulated with respect to the first about an axis of rotation, the first set comprising a lower holding means consisting of a face to be disposed against the front and a toothed receiving means of the hair on the other face, a fixed cutting blade and a means for keeping the blade of the blades at a distance from each other; inserted in the receiving means, the second set comprises a upper holding means accommodating a movable cutting means, said cutting means being held in position by a torsion spring means fixed around the axis of rotation and protected by a gripping protection means and operable by a handling means.

Preferably, the device comprises a locking means for maintaining the upper holding means against the lower holding means.

Advantageously, the face to rest against the front of the lower holding means comprises an anti-slip means. Detailed description of the preferred embodiments

According to a preferred embodiment, the device (1) according to the invention is composed of an upper holding part (2) and a lower holding part (3) each comprising a blade (4 and 5). Said holding pieces (2 and 3) face each other and are hinged together at one of their ends (19) around an axis of rotation (25). Said device (1) has an elongate shape whose length corresponds to the length of a front and is slightly concave so as to adopt the shape of the latter on which it will be arranged. The device (1) is used by placing the base (24) of the lower holding piece (2) on the front.

The device (1) according to the invention comprises an articulated end (19) and an end that can open and close (20) and which will respectively be called, for the complete understanding of the present description, articulated end (19) and opening end (20).

The attachment of the upper holding piece (2) and the lower holding piece (3) between them and their articulation are around an axis of rotation (25). According to a preferred embodiment a screw threaded rod (13) associated with a crimping nut (14) constitute the axis of rotation (25). All the parts connected by this axis (25) comprise holes allowing the passage of the screw and the nut, one being inserted by the front face of the device (21), the other by the rear face ( 22). Screw (13) and nut (14) are tightened so as to hold the parts of the device (1) together while leaving them with mobility, so that the device can open and close.

The upper holding piece (2) is made of a rigid, strong and lightweight material. It has a hollow half-box shape, cut in its length and slightly concave. On the side of the articulated end (19), the front face (21) and the rear face (23) of the upper holding piece (2) end in a circular perforated form (23) at its center. Said holes (23) are intended for the passage of the screw (13) and the crimping nut (14) serving to connect the device (1). On its other end (20), the upper holding member has an opening (9) for guiding a blade release (8). Inside its front (21) and rear (23) faces, the upper holding piece (2) comprises a strip (6) of flexible and elastic material. According to a preferred embodiment, the strips (6) are made of rubber. They have a dual purpose: firstly, it will protect a blade (4) which will be housed inside the upper holding part (2) and secondly, they will be used to grip and hold the hair when the device will be closed.

Inside the upper holding piece (2) is a cutting blade or upper blade (4) made of steel. In order to match the shape of the device, said blade (4) is slightly concave. It is protected by the inner rubber bands (6). The upper blade (4) is movable and will allow to cut the hair. It has a hole (23) on the side of the articulated end (19). This hole will allow its fixation within the device and its mobility around the axis of rotation (25). At its other end, the upper blade (4) has a blade release (8). When the blade (4) is not actuated, said trigger (8) leaves the upper holding piece (2) by the upper part of the guide (9a) of the latter. When pressing the trigger, the user of the device (1) slides from the top of the guide (9a) down the guide (9b). This causes movement of the upper blade (4) towards the lower part of the device. When the user releases the trigger (9), the blade automatically returns to its initial position by means of a torsion spring (12) fixed at the center of the axis of rotation (25), on the threaded rod of the screw (13). ) link. This spring (12), enclosed in the device, comprises an arm pressing on the lower holding piece (3) and an arm pressing on the upper blade (4). When the device (1) is closed, the two arms of the spring (12) are pushed towards the center of the device where they are grouped. When opened, they resume their original extent and automatically push the upper blade (4) into the interior of the upper holding piece (2).

The lower holding piece (3) of the device (1) is also made of a rigid, strong and light material and has a hollow half-box shape, cut in its length and slightly concave. Its shape is complementary to the upper holding piece (2) in which it comes to fit, the two open lengths of the holding pieces (2 and 3) facing each other. On the articulated end (19), the front face (21) and the rear face (23) of the lower holding piece (3) end in a circular perforated form (23) at its center. Said holes (23) are intended for the passage of the screw (13) and the crimping nut (14) serving to connect the device (1). On their length, the front face (21) and the rear face (23) of the upper holding piece (2) are provided with teeth forming a comb (10) for correctly putting in place the hair that will be cut. On the opening end, the front face (21) and the rear face (23) of the upper holding member (2) has a hole. These holes are intended for the passage of a threaded screw (17) and a service nut (18), which will ensure the attachment of a locking tab (15) while allowing the latter to maintain its mobility.

The locking tongue (15) is fixed in the extension of the opening end (20) of the lower holding piece (3). Said locking tongue (15) terminates in a locking hook (16). The locking tab (15) will allow a secure closing of the device: the user presses on the device and holds the upper holding piece (2) and the lower holding piece (3) against each other, then Raises the locking tongue (15) to the upper holding piece (2) to catch the locking hook (16) in the lower part of the guide (9b) present on the upper holding piece (2). The device is then locked.

Inside the lower holding piece (3) is a fixed lower blade or blade (5), against which the upper blade (4) will come to bear when it is actuated. The combination of these two blades will allow cutting. Said lower blade is surrounded by a piece (11) protecting the blade (5) and which fits into the interior of the lower holding piece (3). This piece (11) also serves to protect the hair when placed on the comb (10): thanks to said piece (11), the hair will not come into contact with the blade and will not be damaged.

Finally, the base (24) of the lower holding piece (5), on its outer face, is covered with a flexible and slightly gripping material, such as rubber, to provide comfort and ease of maintenance when the device (1) ) is positioned on the forehead.

After having set up the device on its front in the open position, the user will place the hair on the comb (10). It will then close the device (1) by lowering the upper holding piece (2) towards the lower holding piece (3), then lowering the device to the desired cutting height, the inner rubber bands (6) helping to maintain the hair. Once the hair in place and the height of cut determined, the user will then fold down the locking tab (15) and block the hook (16) of the latter in the base of the guide (9a) located on the piece of upper support (2). The device (1) is thus locked and can not move. The user will then actuate the blade release (8) of a movement from the upper part (9a) of the guide to its lower part (9b). The blade release will drive the upper blade (4) against the lower blade (5) which is inside the lower holding piece (3). The two blades thus joined will cut the hair. The user will only have to unlock the tab (15) and remove the device. With the aid of a simple mirror, the device that is the subject of the present invention thus makes it possible to cut its own bangs quickly, easily and uniformly.

Many variants that may possibly be combined can be provided here without ever departing from the scope of the invention as defined above.

The non-substantial modifications which would clearly follow from those of ordinary skill in the art of the use or the manufacture of which the patent is required without altering the original provisions thereof, are merely technical equivalents and also fall within the scope of the present invention.

Claims

1) Device for holding and cutting hair locks (1) comprising two sets, a set (3,5,11) placed on the front of the user of said device and a set (2,4,6,12) articulated with respect to the first around an axis of rotation (25), characterized in that the first set comprises a lower holding means (3) consisting of a face (24) to be disposed against the front and a means of toothed reception of the hair (10) on the other side, a fixed cutting blade (5) and a means for remotely holding (11) the blade (5) of the hair inserted into the receiving means (10), the second assembly comprises an upper holding means (2) accommodating a movable cutting means (4), said cutting means being held in position by a torsion spring means (12) fixed around the axis of rotation (25) and protected by a gripping protection means (6) and operable by a handling means (8).
