Abstract

The present invention relates to a very simple device for cutting asparagus underground, at the desired depth, and to gather them, without risk of damaging the new shoots. The operator can work with just one hand without bending over. The lower part of a tube 1 slips into a curved spoon-shaped component 2. On its upper part, there is fixed a handle 5. An identical handle 6 is fixed onto another concentric tube which acts as an axle for the first one. Two blades 8 make it possible to cut by actuating the handles 5, 6. This device may be used for other purposes.
