L'é toile 20 tourne avec le disque, du même an gle, de façon que les galets 21 viennent se placer sur les sommets des deux branches opposées de l'étoile; à partir de ce moment, ces galets, sous l'action du ressort 24, tom bent dans l'entredent suivant des étoiles et font tourner celles-ci, et le disque, très ra pidement de 45 p; une cheville 25 agit sur le levier 3 et l'amène en position de ferme ture;
Prepayment electricity meter. The object of the present invention is a prepayment electricity meter. This counter is characterized by a device for inserting and ejecting the currency, comprising a rotating disc, with a vertical axis, which has radial slots which are placed one after the other in front of the entrance opening of the counter. the.
coin, by a drive device for this disc which, when a coin is in a slot of the latter and an actuator is actuated, pushes this coin and, through it, turns the disc of an angle of 90 ap proximately, the angle at the end of which the part escapes, and by a star which is integral in rotation with the disc, and which has branches, in number equal to that of the aforementioned windows, intended to control a switch placed in the supply circuit, a roller, subjected to the influence of a spring, acting on the periphery of this star, so as to push it abruptly when it falls from the top of a branch into the next entredent.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a general view thereof, in perspective; the, fig. 2 to 5, show details, on a larger scale.
In the supply circuit 1, 2 is interposed (fig. 1 and 2) a main switch whose movable contact is constituted by a lever 8, rotatably mounted at 4 on the frame, and cooperating with the two fixed contacts 5 and 6. This switch is placed under the control of the coin insertion and ejection device (which will be described later) so as to close when a coin is introduced into this device. The lever 8 is placed under the action of a spring 7 which always tends to maintain it in the open position, and it is held in the closed position, against the spring 7, by a finger d 'stop 8, integral in rotation with the armature 9 of the electromagnet 10.
The latter is connected in parallel to the devices for using the current and is placed under the control of a secondary switch comprising a fixed part 11 and a movable part 12, consisting of a lever rotatably mounted on the frame 13. When contacts 11 and 12 are closed, the electromagnet attracts its armature which. rotates, like the finger 8, around the axis 8a; lever 3, released, then returns to its open position.
The lever 12 of the secondary switch 11, 12 is controlled by a differential gear placed, as is well known, under the control of both the device for inserting and ejecting the coins and of the rotating disc 14 of the counter.
The device for inserting and ejecting: coins (see fig. 1, 2 and 3) comprises a disc 15, fixed to the rotating shaft 16, and formed of two cheeks, connected to each other by: pillars 17. This disc has four radial slots 18 which are presented successively below the entry opening, not shown, for the coins.
Under the disc is placed the part 19, of adjustable position and whose end in an arc of a circle extends approximately over an angle of 90 '. On the shaft 16 is fixed the star at four branches 20 on the periphery of which the two rollers 21 are supported, each on an arm 22, pivoted on the frame 23, the two arms tending to approach under .l'action of the spring 24.
Each branch of the star 20 carries a pin 2-5 intended to cooperate with the lever 3; on the shaft 16 is rotatably mounted a sector 33 integral with a sleeve 26 carrying a crank 27, which is connected by a connecting rod 28 to a second crank 29, integral with the shaft 30 on which is fixed the handle d 'actuation 31. This shaft is journaled in the so key 5.5 .du meter, base on which is fixed the protective casing, not shown in the drawings.
Let us suppose that one introduces, in one of the slots 18, a coin of the desired size; this part thanks to its: dimension is retained between the shaft 16 and the part 19; if the stalk 31 is then actuated, the sleeve 26 and the sector 33 are rotated; this one pushes it. part of my naie, which in turn pushes the disk 15, this on an angle of a little more than 45 0.
The web 20 rotates with the disc, of the same angle, so that the rollers 21 are placed on the tops of the two opposite branches of the star; from this moment, these rollers, under the action of the spring 24, fall into the following entry of the stars and turn these, and the disc, very quickly by 45 p; a pin 25 acts on the lever 3 and brings it into the closed position;
at the same time, as the coin has rotated by 900, it has: passed coin 19, and being no longer supported by it, it falls into funnel 34.. the part is too small in diameter, it passes freely, at the time of insertion, between the shaft 16 and the part 19, and falls into the black funnel -35.
The aforementioned differential (fig 4) comprises two main wheels; one, 36 is controlled by the intermediary of the rod 31 and of a gear, by the star wheel 38 fixed to the shaft 16; as to. the other main wheel 39, it is controlled by the rotating disc 14 of the counter, through the intermediary of the rod 40 and a gear. Between these two wheels rotates the pinion 41, fixed to. the shaft 42 on which is also fixed. cam 43 .as well as a pinion 44, which meshes with a wheel 45 to which is fixed a second cam 46.
The two cams 43 and 41G (fig. 5) acting on the lever 12, already mentioned, of the secondary switch 11, 12.
Each time a coin is introduced into a slot in the disc 15, the wheel 36 is rotated; the wheel 39 being fixed, the pinion 41 rotates on itself and at the same time on this wheel 39, driving with it the shaft 42 and the cam 43; this one, each time a part is introduced, turns of '/ $ of turn; the ratio of the wheels 44 and 45 is chosen so that the cam 46 turns one revolution for four turns of the cam 43.
Once you have finished inserting coins and the counter disk 14 turns, wheel 39 will turn, wheel 36 remaining stationary, pinion 41 and shaft 42 will then rotate. in the reverse direction, so as to return the cams to their starting position, when the quantity of electrical energy corresponding to the number of parts inserted has been consumed.
The lever - 12, under the action of its weight, tends to turn clockwise in fig. 5; consequently, the nose 47 of the lever and the pin 48 thereof will constantly tend to rest, the first on the periphery of the cam 43, presenting a flat part 54, and the second, on the crown 49 of the lever. the cam 46, crown having a window 50. On the cam 43 is rotatably mounted the sector 51 that a spring 52, bearing on this sector and on the pin 53, tends to. apply against this ankle.
Fig. 5 shows the cams and the lever in the rest position; suppose that one successively introduces sixteen coins of currency in the meter; the cam 43 will turn two turns and the cam 49 half a turn. At the start, the spout 47 remains on the flat part 44 causing the sector 51 to rotate against the spring 52, then it rises on the circular part .de the cam 43, leaving the sector 51 to return to its normal position.
Thanks to the action of these two cams on the lever 12, the secondary switch will remain open and the lever of the main switch will remain engaged, in its closed position by the finger 8; power will be supplied to the user devices and say 14 will rotate, returning cams 43 and 46 to their starting point.
When it has thus rotated the cam 43 by one turn, in the opposite direction to its previous movement, the. flat part 54 will appear in front of spout 47, but lever 12 will not turn, its pin 48 still pressing on crown 49; it won't. that at the end of the second turn that this pin will arrive opposite the window 50 at the same time as the flat 5 4 will arrive opposite the spout 47; then the lever 12 can turn and close the secondary switch. The electromagnet 10 being excited will attract its armature 9 and will turn the finger 8 which will release the lever 3; the latter, under the action of the spring 7, will be brought into the open position.
Inserting a coin turns the cam 43 '/ $ turn, that is, at an angle sufficient so that the clearances inside the device do not distort. the distribution of energy; moreover, thanks to the cam 46, the maximum number of coins that can be introduced into the counter is relatively large.
