Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung einer cyclischen Verbindung. Gegenstand dieser Erfindung ist ein Ver fahren zur Darstellung einer cyclischen Ver bindung, welches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man Naphtalin und Bernsteinsäureanhydrid unter Zuhilfenahme von Aluininiuinchlorid kondensiert.
<I>Beispiel:</I> In eine Auflösung von 129 Gewichtsteilen Naphtalin und 110 Gewichtsteilen Bernstein säureanhydrid in 1000 Gewichtsteilen wasser freiem Nitrobenzol werden bei unter 10 C portionsweise 270 Gewichtsteile Aluminium chlorid eingetragen und 24 Stunden bei dieser Temperatur verrührt. Nach Zersetzen der Ni- trobenzollösung mit Wasser und verdünnter Salzsäure destilliert man das Nitrobenzol mit Wasserdampf ab, nimmt den Destillations- rückstand mit Sodalösung auf, filtriert und fällt aus dem Filtrat die entstandene Keto- carbonsäure mit verdünnter Salzsäure aus.
Durch Umkristallisieren aus organischen Lö- sungsmitteln, zum Beispiel Sprit, lassen sich farblose Nadeln isolieren, die bei 132 schmelzen. Verschmilzt man diese Säure etwa 40 Minuten mit der vierfachen Gewichtsmenge Aluminium chlorid oderNatrium-Aluminiumchlorid bei 150 bis 160 , so erhält man nach dem Aufarbeiten der Schmelze eine Ringverbindung, die aus ver dünntem Sprit umkristallisiert bei gegen<B>1651</B> schmilzt. Die so erhaltene cyclische Verbin dung dient als wertvolles Ausgangsprodukt zur Darstellung von Farbstoffen und Farb- stoffzwischenverbindungen.
Natürlich gelingt die Darstellung dieser Ringverbindung auch in einer Operation \durch geeignetes Verschmelzen beider Komponenten mit zum Beispiel Natrium-Aluniiniumchlorid, analog den Angaben in Beispiel 1 des Zusatz patentes Nr. 130611.

<I> Example: </I> In a solution of 129 parts by weight of naphthalene and 110 parts by weight of succinic anhydride in 1000 parts by weight of anhydrous nitrobenzene, 270 parts by weight of aluminum chloride are added in portions at below 10 ° C. and stirred for 24 hours at this temperature. After the nitrobenzene solution has been decomposed with water and dilute hydrochloric acid, the nitrobenzene is distilled off with steam, the distillation residue is taken up with soda solution, filtered and the ketocarboxylic acid formed is precipitated from the filtrate with dilute hydrochloric acid.
Colorless needles that melt at 132 can be isolated by recrystallization from organic solvents such as gasoline. If this acid is fused for about 40 minutes with four times the weight of aluminum chloride or sodium aluminum chloride at 150 to 160, after working up the melt, a ring compound is obtained which, recrystallized from dilute fuel, melts at around 1651. The cyclic compound obtained in this way serves as a valuable starting product for the preparation of dyes and intermediate dye compounds.
Of course, this ring connection can also be produced in one operation by appropriately fusing the two components with, for example, sodium aluminum chloride, analogous to the information in Example 1 of the additional patent no.
