Jacks, in particular for motor vehicles. It is known per se to design a car jack, in particular for motor vehicles, in such a way that it is fastened to a chassis part, for example to an axle, by means of two brackets to be clamped to the chassis part.
According to the present invention, a tubular housing is provided on its inner side with a thread through which it engages with a threaded spindle, and on its outer side also provided with a thread which is screwed into threaded bores of the straps to be clamped on the chassis part.
The threaded spindle can in this case be provided at its lower end with a spherical foot, which can be attached to the threaded spindle by means of a ball joint. The foot can have the shape of a spherical shell and its deflections can be limited by stops arranged on the inside of the same and on the threaded spindle.
The subject matter of the invention is illustrated in the drawing by means of an exemplary embodiment. FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section and FIG. 2 shows a plan view of the same.
A hollow threaded spindle a is screwed with its thread into the internal thread of a tubular housing b . The spindle is driven by means of a worm wheel c and a worm d, which is driven by hand or by means of motor power, in the case of motor vehicles, preferably from the motor of the car. Instead of the worm gear, a pair of wheels could also be provided.
The worm wheel c has its seat at the foot of the Ileber between this and the housing b. It is provided in its hub with projections e fixed on it, which are in corresponding, over the entire length of the spindle Engaging pulling grooves. As a result of the engagement of the projections e in the grooves of the spindle, the latter is entrained when the worm wheel c rotates. The rotation of the spindle a causes it to shift axially in the housing b as a result of the engagement of its thread in the internal thread of the housing.
The worm wheel c does not participate in this axial displacement of the spindle a, since the wheel housing is in a fixed connection with the housing b and the spindle a in the screw wheel moves over its own due to the grooves provided in it can adjust the entire length. The worm wheel c therefore always remains in the same position with respect to the housing b .
The housing b is also provided with an external thread and is attached to a chassis part, for example on the axis h or on the feet, with the aid of the tabs f ', f' on a wagon. For this purpose, the tabs f ' and f' can be adjusted with a threaded hole on the external thread of the housing b . The lugs f ', f2 are clamped on the axis 72 by screws g .
This type of connection enables the lifting device to be attached to the axle or to the springs of the car, for example, without these parts needing to be pierced or otherwise injured.
With the described type of fastening supply the jack to the axle h of the Wa- 0.
, lens, the inertia monient adapts itself to the existing conditions. The heavier the car, the greater the axle profile h, the greater the distance between the straps f ', f', and the greater their inertia resp. Moment of resistance.
The foot of the lifter has the shape of a spherical shell i and is movably connected to the threaded spindle a, so that it does not break when the lifter erects an oblique lacre in the vertical. This is the case, for example, when the wagon has come into an inclined position as a result of a broken axle or the Besebädi (Tung of a wheel) and is now to be returned to the horizontal position by the lifter. For moveable fastening of the lifter foot on the spindle A ball stud k is attached to the 14, -u-el shell i by means of a threaded bolt.
The Nugelzap- k rests against a bolt 1 in the lower end of the threaded spindle and is held in its position by a screw nut in which looks downwards he extends the bell that serves as a stop.
The movements of the latter are limited by this bell and a stop i 'on the inside of the spherical shell. To initiate the movement of the car jack, regardless of whether it works hydraulically, pneumatically, mechanically or in some other way, when using it in a motor vehicle, an electric motor powered by the car battery can be used, which is in the end positions of the threaded spindle a relative to the housing b automatically and its circuit is switched over.
For this purpose, the spindle a has a collar y at the upper end, through which a control rod p is passed, which is connected to the motor circuit at the upper end outside the spindle switched contact arm q, as well as a plate p 'serving as an indication. The control rod p is carried either directly by the chassis or by the housing b .
The attachment of the Stangep is such that it is against the chassis BEZW. hann move the housing axially by a certain distance in two end positions of the housing. The carrier for the rod p, , which is not shown in the drawing, engages the rod end protruding from the housing b and can for example have a spring, which engages in two opposite points in corresponding notches in the bar p ,
in order to allow the aforementioned aeb.sial shift. Apart from the two mentioned shifts that the rod p can perform with respect to the housing b , it must incidentally all movements of the housing b </ B > resp. of the P 'chassis.
When the housing b approaches its lowest position (Fig. 1) as the spindle rotates, the collar y </ B provided on the spindle a hits > against the plate p 'of the rod p. The plate p' is prevented from following the further downward movement of the housing b and the frame,
so that the opposite of the housing respectively. the chassis, which is stationary and with its adjusting contact q ', moves on the contact arm q connected to the plate p' and now stationary, and the contact q 'slides over it. If the sliding contact q 'is now connected to the negative pole of the car battery by a circuit s' at r 'and v' <RTI
ID = "0003.0015"> (Fig. 1) and the positive pole of the battery through the switch t 'via a contact u' to the other terminal on the other side of the rod p </ B> connected, motor connected, the motor o is energized and activates the ffeber either by direct drive or by connecting it to any other power source, for example to the car motor.
The housing b now moves up along the spindle a while the vehicle is being raised, until the collar y of the spindle a hits a second plate p 'at the lower end, which serves as a stop the control rod p occurs and thereby holds the latter in place. This causes the contact q ', which rises with the carriage, to slide off the contact arm (/ and the contact q' slides over it. This interrupts the current and the spindle stops.
Turning the switch s ', t' by hand into the position to s ', t2 causes the switch s' to be attached to the positive pole </ B> "t2 and the switch t 'is applied to the negative pole v' of the battery n. Now the current through the motor u is via the contacts q, q ' closed in the opposite direction. In the direction of rotation now assumed by the spindle, the housing b lowers and with it the carriage.
The lowering movement is interrupted when the collar y of the spindle a reaches the upper plate p 'again and holds the rod p , since the contact q' slides off the contact arm q and the contact q 'slides onto it, whereby the current is automatically interrupted again when the switch s' ' t' is in the current position. Switching the s ', t' switches by hand lets the game begin again.
