Au dessin annexé, donné à titre d'exemple: La fig. 1 représente le briquet en éléva tion extérieure, le capuchon étant rabattu sur la mèche; La fig. 2 est une vue de dessous ; La fig. 3 est une vue en élévation comme la fig. 1, mais le capuchon étant levé; La fig. 4 est une vue de dessous, la vis- bouchon du réservoir étant enlevée; La fig. 5 est une vue en plan correspon dant à la fig. 1;
Lighter with gasoline and irons ocerium. The present invention relates to a gasoline and ferrocerium lighter with a rotating wheel. In the lighter according to the invention, the wheel is placed in a housing having an opening vis-à-vis the wick, and mounted on a pin provided with ridged buttons outside said housing.
Preferably, this lighter comprises a tube intended to contain the device carrying the ferrocerium stone, this tube opening next to the filling orifice of the fuel tank, in such a way that it is possible to close, by a screw cap, both the filling hole and the hole of the stone tube.
In the accompanying drawing, given by way of example: FIG. 1 shows the lighter in exterior elevation, the cap being folded over the wick ; FIG. 2 is a bottom view; Fig. 3 is an elevational view like FIG. 1, but the cap being lifted; Fig. 4 is a view from below, with the tank cap screw removed; Fig. 5 is a plan view corresponding to FIG. 1;
Fig. 6 is a sectional view, the capu chon being lifted and the screw cap of the tank see being shown separately; Fig. 7 shows separately, on an enlarged scale and in section, the tube carrying the ferrocerium stone; Fig. 8 shows, on an enlarged scale, the wheel device rubbing on the ferrocerium stone. This view is taken from the side of the opening in which the knob appears opposite the bit.
This apparatus is established in such a way as to allow easy handling, easy disassembly and to house the components in such a way that they do not suffer damage and are always in good working order.
The body of the device is formed by a gasoline tank 1, of a suitable shape, to allow easy accommodation of the object in the pocket, but this shape of the tank may be different, prismatic for example. The bottom of the tank has a threaded orifice 1 'which receives a screw plug 2; the latter comprises a head 2 'which forms an overhanging plate which, when the cap is screwed onto the orifice, fits into a recess 1 "on the bottom of the tank. On the bottom of this recess comes s' open next to the orifice the end of a tube 7 which completely passes through the reservoir 1, and opens, on the other hand, on the upper wall of the reservoir below the carpet device described below.
In this place, the upper wall of the reservoir has a small orifice 1a with the caliber of ferro-cerium stone and next to it opens an orifice 11, in which is engaged the end of the wick 15 which plunges into the reservoir 1. .
The ferrocerium stone 6 engaged in the orifice 11 is pushed by a spring 4 placed in a tube 3 and held by a threaded plug 5 screwed to the end of this tube.
The tube 3 is engaged in the tube 7 in such a way that its end touches the bottom of the recess 1 "and that it is thus held by the rim 2 'of the stopper 2, when the latter is screwed on.
By this arrangement, when the screw-plug 2, 2 'is removed, it is possible both to fill the reservoir 1 and also to remove, if necessary, the tube 3 to check or replace the stone 6.
The wheel 9 is placed inside a housing 8 which has only one opening vis-à-vis the wick 15; the wheel being thus sheltered, the dust resulting from the use of the instrument cannot spread on this one, which always remains clean. The wheel 9 is fixed on an axis 10 provided with two ridged buttons 11 placed outside the housing 8. This device allows the person using the instrument to operate the wheel very easily and without getting their fingers dirty.
An arm 12 pivoting at 13, returned by a spring 14, carries a cap which covers the end of the wick.
This lighter is thus presented in a manageable form with well protected components and it allows - easy and quick dismantling.
