Device for holding down the switch tongue at the pivot point. The invention provides an advantageous and effective device for holding down switch tongues at their pivot point in switches for Vignol rails. The invention is based on the use of the hold-down screws which have become known essentially in tram switches. The hold-down screws that have become known have a fundamental flaw.
During the horizontal movements of the tongue around the tongue pin, frictional forces arise either between the screw shaft or between the head of the screw or the screw nut on the one hand and the part of the tongue itself that is being considered Work towards mother.
The task of the hold-down screw is thus more or less prevented in this way. Splint locks are not suitable to prevent the adverse effect of the tongue vibrations occurring in the frictional forces, as they are chafed through relatively quickly or rust and inaccessible BEZW due to their concealed arrangement. not be interchangeable; in particular, however, prevent the screw nut from being tightened.
The aim of the invention is to store the screw bolt and nut immovably with respect to the tongue in the latter, so that the nut and bolt must move as a whole with the tongue and, accordingly, forces between a part of the Niederha.ltungs- screw and the tongue, which on a relative movement of the screw nut and screw bolt cannot occur.
A construction fulfilling the purpose of the invention is shown in the drawing as an exemplary embodiment to explain the invention. It shows: Fig. 1 the hold-down device in plan, and Fig. 2 the section according to 2-2 of Fig. 1. a denotes the shaft of the hold-down screw, the head 2 of which rests on the underside of the journal bearing 3.
The tongue 4 engages with a dovetail-shaped foot 4 'in a well-known tongue joint piece 5, which with its ring-
