c=ur A' pre#vu dans le plancher<B>de</B> l'aéro- plane. Ce viseur sert < i observer la ligne de vol au-dessus c111 sol.
font tourner les bras de le vier J' vers la gauche en soulevant le cli- quet J hors du contact du rochet G'. La came N2, en pressant également de haut en bas sur le bras Hz, fait tourner l'axe H et le cliquet Hl pour soulever également celui- ci hors de contact avec le rochet, de façon à ce que la roue ;

A plate R having an opening is fixed to the side walls of the compartment C \ comprising shoulders Rl which serve as guides to the frame for handling the plates when the latter are pulled over the wire R. The plate. R is provided with hardened pegs R \, @ your number of four, the vertices of which are precisely adjusted to the focal plane of the objective and on which the glass plates are supported when they coincide with the objective .
R '(fig. 10) designates one of the frames for handling the plates, which: are preferably made of steel. These frames surround, adapting closely, the sides of the glass plates. The side walls R' of these frames fit very exactly between the Ptl shoulders of the plate R when these walls are brought by them by the phiqtic:
s. The anterior bar I? ' is provided with angular slots R. "in which engage, like that e:

The vertical height of the walls of the plate handling frame should, (preferably, be a little less than the thickness of the glass plates and no part of the frame extends below or below it). above the edges; of the plates, which means that the plates are in no way easy by the frames.
S designates an oscillating shaft carrying, at its upper end, a <B> 81 </B> lever which engages in the grooves of the Os cam. At the lower end of the shaft S is fixed the lever S 'which, by means of a fork S3, engages with a pin S "provided on the shaft S' of a pivoting lever S 'mounted on the axis S'1 and engaging, as indicated at Ss, with a shutter control lever connected with a shutter mechanism Y, not shown.
T designates a shutter release pin actuated by an arm Tl pivoting in T <I> '</I> and comprising a lever arm T' held normally pulled to the right by the spring Tl and coming into contact with the rod T ', which passes to. through the wall of the camera, as shown in Figs. 1 and Ô.
A finger. protruding L 'is spun at gear wheel O'. This finger engages with the U1 swivel hook U \ (fig. 2 and 9), and is connected with the lever arm t '' (fui is normally pulled to the right by the res out U1 and is in contact:
with the pusher Electromagnets T 'and T'1 have reinforcement plates: ure T' \, # t P \ s'c, holding, respectively, over the rod T 'and the pous evening L' ', as this is iiioiitr (ii la fi ,:

A plate 11 '(fi ". L), attached to the side (the camera, has an aiming slot II'1. Which is located above the vi,
heart A 'pre # seen in the floor <B> of </B> the aircraft. This sight is used to observe the line of flight above the ground.
In operation, the inarTasin is loaded with photographic plates surrounded by frames or handling frames and the shutter F is introduced into the grooves E 'to protect the interior of the magazine and the plates contained therein against the action of the reading. miere.
The hinged cover D 'is or green and the magazine loaded with plates is ash in the compartment C3, its guide wheels E2 coming into contact with the guides C4 C'. When the magazine goes down, the ends e2 of the racks E <B> '</B> come into contact with the fingers L which, when the chamber C3 is empty,
are lowered to a horizontal position by the springs L2 and are held in this position by the contact of the heels L 'with the ankles K' of the lever arm K2. The continuation of the descent movement of the magazine turns the lever arms K2 K ', in the direction of the needles of a watch around the axis K and has it turn the connecting rod 1I1 to the right by rotating the arm crank <I> l11 '</I> so as to rotate the cam <B> 31' </B> in an arc of about <B> 90 '. </B> The arms of the cam, by acting on the arm J2,
rotate the arms of the lever J 'to the left by lifting the pawl J out of contact with the ratchet G'. The cam N2, also pressing from top to bottom on the arm Hz, turns the axis H and the pawl H1 to also lift the latter out of contact with the ratchet, so that the wheel;
toothed G 'can rotate freely, while the magazine is introduced into the chamber C3. <B> As soon as the magazine passes under the finger L, the action of the springs K 'H3 and Jg brings the various organs and the pawls into the operating position.
When the magazine descends into chamber C3, the fixed plate f, shutting off the light, passes through the opening E7, the light intercepting trim ES, then into the slots E ', coming into contact with the edge F3 of the shutter F, so that this plate remains stationary, its lower edge being approximately in the focal plane of the camera.
After the magazine has been completely inserted into compartment C ', the cover D' is folded down and closed by turning the handle d ". The rotation of this handle brings the bevelled edge d22 in contact with the bevelled projection d. '@frame d'. By lowering this frame so that its ends d 'lower the lever arm d' and raise the lever arm d2 which, on rising,
makes contact with the protruding ends F2 of the plate F and lifts them, as shown in fig. -l, between the bottom of the plate F and the top of the plate f is left a slot through which the plates contained in the magazine, opposite this slot, can pass freely.
The plate P is again lowered to close the slot when the handle d "is turned to unlock the cover Dl, this downward movement being effected by the action of the spring pistons d" which rest on the rib. upper F 'of the shutter F. These pistons move the plate F up and down as soon as the levers d2 allow this downward movement.
To be sure that the shutter F closes completely. the store before its removal from compartment C3, the finger D 'is provided which is brought abruptly over the top F' of the shutter F as a result of the rotation of the cam D4 so as to hold the plate in a fixed position, while the magazine is pulled out of its compartment by hand. It goes without saying that the finger D 'must be removed before the magazine can be completely removed from the compartment C <B>' </B>.
Once the magazine has been inserted all the way into this compartment and the control and retainer boxes have re-engaged with the ratchet G2, a jerky lifting of the magazine, intended to bring the plates it contains. successively in coincidence with the slot niénage #, between the plate F and the fixed plate f, is then ensured by the discs 0 <B> '</B> rotated by means of the crank 0 el, the wheels d 'gear 0' 02, acting:
ant by the intermediary of the levers N 'N2, of the bar 1 and of the axis 13 at the end of which the control pawl is fixed J. Thanks to this pawl, the ratchet is engaged and rotated in the clockwise, the pawl Hl holding the ratchet and the wheel rotating with it in the correct position, while the plates are removed and reamed to the magazine.
The mechanism for actuating the plates is actuated by the cam 05 integral with the shaft 0 "and communicating through the mechanism described and shown in fig. -1 with the carriage Q whose wheels Q \ are mistletoe between the wings C <B> '</B> and C'.
As the carriage recedes and advances through the chamber C "of the camera, the ratchet Q <B> \ </B> alternately contacts the stop fingers q \ and the stop fingers Q" ,
by communicating a jerky rotational movement to the vertical shaft Q 'and to the cam Qg. This cam has four housings q 'arranged symmetrically around its surface while the ratchet wheel com carries eight fingers. The finger q \ is adjusted so that when it comes into contact with a tooth of the ratchet wheel Q \, there is a rotational movement of 15 to the cam while the finger Q \ making contact with the same finger prints to the cam a rotation of 40 during the,
carriage stroke outward. The cam Q8 acts on the ends q 'of the sliding bars Q7 which, in turn, act on the levers Q' Q4, the lever arms Q \ being rotated and held inward when the ends q 'rest. on the upper surface of the cam Q 'and able to take the positions shown in fi-.
i and 3 when the ends coming into contact with the cam engage with the housings q3.
If we assume due the parts occupy the position shown in fig. 3, the levers Q 'being engaged in the slots (read frame IL', the carriage, moving from inside to outside, pulls the frame and the plate which it holds over the opening plate. , the frame being between the shoulders R \ and the resting plate,
air the pegs Ii 'in the focal plane of the lens. After the ex position. the cart moves backwards to bring it back. plate at the ut store; the finger <B> Q \ </B> engages with a finger of the wheel a r # '- cliet Q \, and makes a movement of rotation of 30 "to the carne Q',
which forces the (@ xtréinities of contact of the bar ('to. rest on the upper part of the cam and to raiiieii @ .r the lever arms Q \ to a position in which their ankles coincide. with the boiuchures of the slots 1t ". When the carriage completes its.
stroke backwards, the must q "'contacts the next tooth of the ratchet wheel Q \ and causes the cam to move. (the rotation of 15". thus leaving the contact ends of the bars Q on the upper part of the.
sound, so that the Q \ levers engage iras da.iis lu. plate frame slots. When the elia- riot moves away from the magazine again and the Binent pout of this cart is overturned.
the finger Q ": 'engaging with the wheel Q \ <I> is </I> inîi following an arc of> U" and: at the end (the this movement the contact ends. of the bars Q' are on the upper part <B> & </B> the cam and at an angular distance ale 15 from the next housing cl '. It follows that when the carriage completes its movement.
the pegs Q "enter the slots while the finger Q <B> \ </B> comes into contact with the next tooth by moving lit. caiu. = of 15, the ends of Q 'entering the following notches q8.
The shutter that intercepts the. light of the objective is armed itu inoven of the oar 0 "'acting through the arm of the lever S \ of the oscillating shaft S and of the mechanism actuated by this shaft by the intermediary of the lever S'.
We will notice. that the shape of the disc: like this, is shown at. the fib. 4-, <I> es! </I> such that it stops the movement of the shaft 0 'in a sen. tau in the other, and we will notice that the doi @ -t -i, irritates L, fixed to the toothed wheel 0 \, vii attenuating it.
; position shown in fig. 9 and 9.:, nipèclie this toothed wheel and the shaft which is fixed to it with turns-; Niecanisin is:
thus locked after a plate has been brought into position of exposure relative to the objective of the camera and all the moving parts actuated by means of the shaft 0 'are immobilized until that the circuit V 'is closed by means of the switch V \'.
As a result, the two electromagnets V and V 'are excited and that the armature plates V = V3 respectively come into contact with the shutter release rod T "and the bolt release rod. (fig. 1) The crank 0 can then be rotated again for two turns to bring the components back into place.
We will understand. that the operator, looking up and down through the sight _1 = provided in the floor of the airplane, can still see the direction in which the airplane is moving above the ground.
He is assisted in this work by the slit plate T, 'and, by rotating the photographic apparatus and its platform B behind the scenes A <B>' </B>, he can hold the camera photographic in exact alignment with the @direetion in which the airplane is actually lying, so that successive photo graphics views overlap end to end without any detrimental angular displacement occurring.
