Description
Zusatzpatent zum Hauptpatent hir. 113920. Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Nüpenfarbstoffes. Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Küpenfarb- stoffes aus chloriertem Isodibenzanthron mit einem Chlorgehalt von etwa 10 01o, wie es nach dem Verfahren der deutschen Patent schrift Nr. 217570 erhältlich ist, und Phe- nolen. Das Verfahren wird beispielsweise folgendermassen ausgeführt:
10 Teile chloriertes Isodibenzanthron mit einem Chlorgehalt von etwa 10 %, wie es nach dem Verfahren der deutschen Patent schrift Nr. 217570 erhältlich ist, werden mit etwa, 80 Teilen Phenol und 8 Teilen Ä.tz- kali etwa 10 Stunden unter Rühren zum Sieden erhitzt. Die Aufarbeitung der Schmelze kann so erfolgen, dass man nach dem Ab kühlen mit Alkohol verdünnt, absaugt, mit Alkohol und dann mit Wasser wäscht und trocknet.
Der in trockenem, pulverförmigem Zu stande violettschwarze Farbstoff ist in Al- kalien und Säuren unlöslich. In konzen- trierter Schwefelsäure löst er sich grau, in organischen Lösungsmitteln violett bis blau mit roter Fluoreszenz. Die Iiydro- sulfitküpe ist blau. Baumwolle wird .in ihr in echten, blauen Tönen angefärbt.

The procedure is carried out as follows, for example:
10 parts of chlorinated isodibenzanthrone with a chlorine content of about 10%, as it is obtainable by the method of German Patent No. 217570, are heated to boiling with about 80 parts of phenol and 8 parts of caustic potash for about 10 hours while stirring . The melt can be worked up in such a way that, after cooling, it is diluted with alcohol, filtered off with suction, washed with alcohol and then with water and dried.
The dye, which is violet-black when dry, in powder form, is insoluble in alkalis and acids. In concentrated sulfuric acid it dissolves gray, in organic solvents violet to blue with red fluorescence. The hydrosulfite vat is blue. Cotton is dyed in it in real, blue tones.
