Dispositif de fixation d'une brosse à un manche. L'invention se rapporte à un dispositif de fixation d'une brosse ,à un manche qui est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte une vis et au moins un écrou dont les mouvements relatifs font appuyer l'extrémité du manche sur un pan de la brosse déterminant la po sition de ces deux objets.
Le dispositif en question pourra s'appli quer aussi bien pour des brosses dont le plan des extrémités utiles des soies est incliné par rapport à l'axe du manche ou dont ledit plan des soies est perpendiculaire à l'axe de la brosse.
Il est représenté, à titre d'exemple, au dessin ci-annexé, en coupe verticale, deux dispositifs de fixation selon l'invention. Ils sont adaptés tous deux à la même brosse; mais il va bien sans dire que pareil cas n'arrive jamais et n'a été choisi ici que pour la simplification du dessin.
Dans le dispositif de fixation de gauche. le manche 1 possède un écrou 2 retenu par une goupille 3 qui traverse le manche ainsi que l'écrou et solidarise ces deux pièces. La brosse 4 est également munie d'un écrou 5. Ce dernier porte un filet extérieur très poin- tu au moyen duquel il est fixé à demeure dans le bois de la brosse. Une vis 6, indé pendante aussi bien du manche que de la brosse, relie les écrous 2 et 5.
En tournant le ,manche et en maintenant le bois de la brosse immobile, on rapproche ces deux objets l'un de l'autre jusqu'à faire appuyer l'extrémité du manche, coupée per pendiculairement à l'axe de ce dernier, sur un plan 7 de la brosse qui détermine la po sition du manche, dans le cas qui notas oc cupe, inclinée par rapport au plan des ex trémités utiles des soies de la brosse.
Dans cette forme d'exécution, on peut utiliser pour la brosse un manche s'adap tant également à un autre ustensile de net toyage possédant une vis analogue à 6, mais fixée à demeure audit ustensile.
Dans le dispositif de fixation représenté sur la droite du dessin, la vis 6 est solidari sée avec le manche 1 au moyen d'une che ville 8 qui traverse la vis et le manche. Un écrou 5, analogue à celui qui est représenté de l'autre côté, est prévu pour recevoir la vis 6. Les dispositifs représentés permettent, une fixation très stable du manche et de la brosse car les parties mobiles en présence sont toutes métalliques et aptes à supporter une fatigue bien supérieure aux fixations présentant, par exemple, une partie métal lique se vissant dans le bois de la. brosse. D'autre part, le serrage, au moyen des dispo sitifs représentés, peut être effectué sans grand effort et sans aucun outil, ce qui n'est ;énéralement pas le cas des fixations jus qu'ici usitées.

In the left fastening device. the handle 1 has a nut 2 retained by a pin 3 which passes through the handle as well as the nut and secures these two parts. The brush 4 is also provided with a nut 5. The latter carries a very sharp external thread by means of which it is permanently fixed in the wood of the brush. A screw 6, independent of both the handle and the brush, connects nuts 2 and 5.
By turning the handle and keeping the wood of the brush stationary, these two objects are brought closer to each other until the end of the handle, cut per pendicular to the axis of the latter, rests on a plane 7 of the brush which determines the position of the handle, in the case which notas oc cupe, inclined relative to the plane of the useful ends of the bristles of the brush.
In this embodiment, a handle can also be used for the brush, also suitable for another cleaning utensil having a screw similar to 6, but permanently attached to said utensil.
In the fixing device shown on the right of the drawing, the screw 6 is secured to the handle 1 by means of a town plug 8 which passes through the screw and the handle. A nut 5, similar to that shown on the other side, is provided to receive the screw 6. The devices shown allow a very stable fixing of the handle and the brush because the moving parts present are all metallic and suitable. to withstand much greater fatigue than the fasteners having, for example, a lique metal part screwed into the wood of the. brush. On the other hand, the tightening, by means of the devices shown, can be carried out without great effort and without any tool, which is generally not the case with the fasteners used until now.
