Description

  

  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines Gerbstoffes.    Es wurde in weiterer Ausarbeitung des  Verfahrens gemäss Hauptpatent gefunden,  dass ein     Gerbstoff    mit wertvollen Eigen  schaften entsteht, wenn man     Kresol    mit       Acetal.dehy    d und     Chlornitrobenzolsulfosäure     umsetzt. Man behandelt das     Kresol    zweck  mässig mit     Acetaldehyd    und setzt das er  haltene     Produkt    mit.     Chlornitrobenzolsulfo-          säure    um. Es kann von Vorteil sein,     .die    Um  setzung unter Druck vorzunehmen.

   Der  Gerbstoff     stellt    eine homogene, bräunlich ge  färbte, sirupartige Lösung dar, ist leicht  löslich in Wasser und     Alkalien,    fällt Gela  tine aus ihrer Lösung und gibt charakte  ristische Färbungen mit Eisensalzen.  



       Beispiel:     70 Gewichtsteile     Kresol    werden mit 25  Gewichtsteilen     Acetaldehyd,        bezw.    der äqui  valenten Menge eines     Acetaldehyd    bildenden  Körpers, wie     Paraldehyd,    in Gegenwart  eines Katalysators, z. B. 4 Gewichtsteile  konzentrierter Salzsäure, in bekannter Weise  zu einem harzartigen Körper kondensiert.  Dieser wird in 90 Gewichtsteilen Wasser    und 60 Gewichtsteilen Natronlauge (40'     B6)     warm gelöst.

   In die Lösung bringt man un  ter gutem Rühren 120 Gewichtsteile     chlor-          nitrobenzo,Isulfösaures    Natrium ein und er  wärmt, nachdem alles gelöst ist, die     1Viass.e     langsam bis zum schwachen Sieden. Die  Siedetemperatur wird so lange eingehalten,  bis eine Probe nach Verdünnen mit Wasser  auf Zusatz von Säure keinen Niederschlag  mehr ausscheidet. Die erhaltene wässerige  Lösung kann zur Trockne eingedampft oder  auch als solche nach entsprechender Ver  dünnung und Einstellung auf die erwünschte       Acidität    zum Gerben verwendet werden.

    Man erzielt eine rasche     Durchgerbung.    Die  erhaltenen Leder zeichnen sich durch helle  Farbe, vollen Griff und hohe     Reissfestigkeit     aus. Die     Gerbung    kann natürlich auch aus  geführt werden in Gegenwart anderer vege  tabilischer oder künstlicher Gerbstoffe.

    Quick tanning is achieved. The leathers obtained are distinguished by their light color, full handle and high tensile strength. The tanning can of course also be carried out in the presence of other vegetable or artificial tanning agents.
