Description
Auf der beiliegenden Zeichnung ist ein Ausführungsbeispiel des Erfindungsgegen standes dargestellt. Es zeigt: Fig. 1 eine Aufsicht auf den Verschluss- ring, Fig. 2 einen Schnitt durch den Verschluss- ring nach der Linie A-A der Fig. 1;
Closure for containers. The previous container closures with threaded pins were exposed to the risk of rusting if the container was left goats for a long time. Since the rust stuck to the entire length of the thread, opening was very often only possible by breaking the lock.
The present invention eliminates this disadvantage in that a threadless locking pin by means of noses engages under rising surfaces on the underside of a locking ring in such a way that a flange of the locking pin is pressed tightly onto the locking ring by slight rotation of the locking pin.
The rust can now only attach itself between the nose and the rising surface. This area is very small compared to the earlier threads; Therefore, the lock can be released, possibly with a key, even if it is rusted.
On the accompanying drawing, an embodiment of the subject invention is shown. It shows: FIG. 1 a plan view of the locking ring, FIG. 2 a section through the locking ring along the line A-A of FIG. 1;
3 is a section along line B-13 in FIG. 1, FIG. 4 is a side view of the locking pin, partially in section, FIG. 5 is a side view of the locking pin, rotated by 90 relative to FIG ,. ; 'Fig. 6 is a view of the entire closure, partially in section.
The locking ring 1 is fastened along its circumference 2 to the container wall 3 be, in the case of sheet metal containers, it is expediently welded on (FIG. 2). In the ring 2 there are two recesses 4 and a recess for receiving a sealing ring 5, furthermore two rising surfaces 6 on the inside, which extend from one recess to the next.
The locking pin has a flange 7 on a cylinder 8 which is provided with recesses and reinforcement ribs and which has two lateral lugs 9. The flange 7 has a bowl-shaped recess 10 and eyelets 11 which, together with the nose 12 of the locking ring 1, form a device for sealing the container. In the axis of the locking pin is a square recess 13 into which a key can be inserted.
The locking pin is inserted into the ring l, with its lugs 9 in the recesses from 4 of the ring, and then rotated (Fig. 6). As a result of the lugs 9 reaching under the rising surfaces 6, the locking pin is pressed against the sealing ring 5 and a tight seal is achieved.
