Le tambour b se compose d'un moyeuf, de bras g, -de -deux couronnesh i et de pièces j réunissant les couronnes h i. A chacun des panneaux e est assujettie une plaque k à laquelle sont rivées des visl pas sant librement dans des ouvertures. ad hoc -d'un support în. Ce dernier est solidaire d e deux guides horizontaux n à section en U dans lesquels on glisse une plaque o recevant le ou les objets à: projeter;
Ce mouvement est produit par un moteur électrique T, à courant continu ou al ternatif, muni d'un ventilateur s servant= à établir une circulation .d'air dans l'appareil. L'arbre t du moteur est relié par un accou plement à. ressort u à un arbre horizontal v tournant dans -des paliers zu a, et muni cl'une vis sans fin J. Cette dernière engrène avec une roue z, à denture hélicoïdale, solidaire elle-même .d'un arbre horizontal 1 dont une vis ;

Pendant les -cinq huitièmes environ d'un tour de l'arbre 4 le galet 29 se trouve à une certaine .distance d'une portion circu laire 54 -de petit diamètre de la partie infé rieure 5' de la came 5 et le levier 26 de meure immobile à la position déterminée par la coulisse 37 et le bouton 39 sous l'action du.ressort 38; l'objectif 18 est à sa position extrême droite; au cours du seizième de tour suivant le galet 29 se meut le long d'une por tion 5' de cette partie et actionne le levier 26; durant le quart de tour suivant le galet \?9 suit une portion circulaire 56 de grand diamètre et maintientle levier 26 immobile à la nouvelle position prise;
Episcopic projection apparatus. The object of the invention is an episcopic projection apparatus.
It is characterized in that it comprises in combination, with an optical projection device and a lighting device, a movable device supporting a series of objects, the images of which must be successively projected, and receiving movement thanks to to which the objects are brought, successively facing the lighting and projection devices, as well as a movable screen normally allowing the light rays received by the objects to reach the projection device,
but being inserted between these objects and this projection device while the mobile device performs a movement to bring a new object opposite the lighting and projection devices.
The attached drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the apparatus.
Fig. 1 is a vertical section through the line AA -de la fi ". 2; Fig. 2 is a plan with partial cutouts; Fig. 3, schematic, relates to a detail .
This form of execution comprises a parallelepipedal metal casing a, in which is housed a drum b rotating around a vertical axis c and having eight equal panels e, on each of which is arranged an object holder d of which only one is represented.
The drum b consists of a hub f, arms g, -two crowns hi and parts j joining the crowns h i. To each of the panels e is subject a plate k to which are riveted screws l not freely in the openings. ad hoc -of an în support. The latter is secured to two horizontal guides n with a U-shaped section in which a plate o is slid receiving the object (s) to: project;
the support in, the guides n, the plate o constitute the object holder d. The support m is constantly pushed radially outwards by. coil springs p < / I> arranged on screws 1, but can be held in place by knurled nuts q; by acting on these, it is possible to bring the objects carried by the plate o exactly to focus. Because the drum b has eight panels which must be successively brought opposite the projection lens, it must periodically rotate 15 around the axis c.
This movement is produced by an electric motor T, with direct current or alternating current, provided with a fan s serving = to establish a circulation .d'air in the apparatus. The motor shaft t is connected by a coupling to. spring u to a horizontal shaft v rotating in bearings zu a, and provided with an endless screw J. The latter meshes with a wheel z, with helical teeth, itself integral .d 'a horizontal shaft 1 including a screw;
years end 2 is engaged with a 3 helical toothed wheel, wedged on a vertical shaft. 1. The shaft 4 carries a cam 5 divided into two superimposed parts: the upper part 5 'acts on a roller 6 of a lever î on the axis c, subjected to the action of a return spring 8 to one of its ends and seen at the other of a pawl 9 engaging with lugs 10 arranged under the conroiine i, at one end of the panels e.
When the cam 5, constantly rotating in the direction of the arrow 11, moves the lever î in the opposite direction to that of the clockwise movement, the eliquet 9, which was engaged with one of the tab 10, makes the drum turn 45, then gives up .cc tab by the combined action of 'the. cam 5 and the spring and comes: place yourself behind the next cleat 10, ready to move it in turn.
During three-quarters of a revolution of shaft .1, roller 6 is in contact with a circular portion 5 \ of. upper part 5 'and the lever 7 remains im mobile, resting on the stop 50; during about the eighth quarter of a turn following the roller 6 moves along a portion 5 \ of this part of the cam and actuates the lever 7; during the last eighth of a turn, the roller 6 follows a portion 53 of the part Bette and allows the lever 7 to return to its rest position against the: stop 50.
So that the various positions of the drum e are exactly defined, there is a pawl 12 pivoted at the and having a notch 14 in which

groin 19 and in. vertical slides' of two parts 32, articulated at their upper part at 33 to the envelope a. Their lower end is connected to a part 34 carried by a V-shaped part 35 rotating around a vertical axis 36. In the part 34 is formed a smooth rectilinear neck 37 where a button 39 of the lever 26 can move.
When the latter moves in the direction of the movement performed by clockwise, it forces the part 34 to move from left to right around the axis 36 and to drive the parts 32 in the same direction; the mount 18 and the lens 20 approach the drum b. If this lever moves in the opposite direction, it moves part 34 from right to left and moves the objective of the drum b.
During about five-eighths of a revolution of the shaft 4 the roller 29 is at a certain distance from a circular portion 54 of small diameter from the lower part 5 'of the cam 5 and the lever. 26 dies immobile in the position determined by the slide 37 and the button 39 under the action of du.ressort 38; objective 18 is in its extreme right position; during the sixteenth of a revolution following the roller 29 moves along a portion 5 'of this part and actuates the lever 26; during the quarter turn following the roller \? 9 follows a circular portion 56 of large diameter and maintains the lever 26 stationary in the new position taken;
objective 18 is in its extreme left position; during the lower sixteenth of a turn this roller moves along a portion 57 and allows the lever 26 to return to its rest position.
The setting of the two parts 58, 5 'of the cam 5 is such that when the roller 29 arrives on the portion 5', the portion 5 'begins to act on the roller 6.
The operation of this form of execution is as follows: During approximately five-eighths (the ) of each revolution of the shaft 4, the roller 29 is kept at a distance from the circular portion 54 of the lower part 5 of the cam 5 and the button 39 remains at the rear end (fig. 2) of the slide 37; it follows that the parts 34, 35, 32, the lens 20 are in their extreme right position , the last being in point for the object placed at 17 on one of the object-holders of the drum b.
On the other hand, the roller 6 is kept in contact with the circular portion 5 'of the upper part of the cam 5 by the spring 8, and the pawl 9 of the lever is located behind one of the tabs 10 of the drum b , ready to push it. This drum bour b is immobilized in one of the projection positions by the pawl 12.
It is during this period of the rotation of the cam 5 that the projection of the object under consideration takes place.
Due to the rotation of this cam 5 in the direction of arrow 11, there is a mo ment where its portion 5 'engages with the roller 29 and forces the lever 26 to move in the opposite direction to that. movement of the watch hands. Two things result; the screen 21 moves from back to front (FIG. 2) to interpose itself between the object in question and the objective 20; the button 39 moves back and forth in the slide 37 and forces the lens 20 to move from right to left, so as to be in focus on the curtain 21.
The lever 26 and the con nex parts then pass to their extreme positions shown in FIG. 2, where they started as due, the roller 29 remains in contact with the circular part 56 of the cam 5.
Once the curtain 21 has thus been interposed between the drum b and the objective 20, the portion 5 of the cam 5 also engages the roller 6 and forces the lever 7 to move in the direction. arrow 40; the pawl 9 drives the drum b in this movement and turns it 45. At the end of this stroke the lever 7 occupies the position indicated in fig. 2.
When the drum b has thus arrived at its new position, where it is immobilized by the pawl 12, the portion 57 of the cam enables the spring. 38 to bring the lever 26. To the first position of this one; the curtain 21 discovers the object of the second object holder d and the objective 20 moves from left to right in order to be in focus on this object. The spring 8 also returns the lever 7 to its original position, so that it is ready - again to actuate the drum, since the roller 6: then follows the portion 5 'of the cam.
The episcopic projection of the object of the second object-holder a. place, then the same operations start again and so on.
The electric motor r can be replaced by another motor; the fan can be removed. The number of., Panels of drum b may not be equal to. Eight. The displacement -of] 'Objective can be produced otherwise. Each object holder can naturally receive several objects instead of just one.
The mobile device supporting the series of objects can. not be a vertical axis drum; it can be, for example, a plate t. vertical axis: the. projection a. then takes place by means of an objective whose optical axis is vertical and of a mirror 45 immediately seeing the light rays coming from the objects.
