Abstract

L'invention concerne une composition de polyols comprenant : (a) au moins un polyol monomère comprenant au moins trois groupes hydroxyle; (b) au moins un polyol supérieur comprenant au moins trois groupes hydroxyle; et (c) au moins un composé aromatique polyhydroxylé, ledit au moins un polyol supérieur comprenant des restes d'au moins un polyol monomère ou du composé aromatique polyhydroxylé ou des deux liés par un ou plusieurs groupes carbonate, un ou plusieurs groupes oxygène-éther ou une combinaison de ceux-ci, et la composition de polyols ayant une viscosité Inférieure à 5000 cPs à 150 degrés Fahrenheit. Ledit ou lesdits polyols monomères et ledit ou lesdits polyols supérieurs peuvent avoir n'importe quelles structures permettant d'obtenir des compositions de polyols et des compositions de polyuréthane ayant les caractéristiques physiques requises en termes de viscosité de la composition de polyols et de résistance à la chaleur, résistance et de module d'élasticité en flexion du polyuréthane. Les compositions de polyols conviennent pour produire des polyuréthanes à structure robuste résistants à la température, mais ont une viscosité suffisamment basse pour permettre l'utilisation d'un appareillage de pompage et de mélange actuellement disponible. Les compositions de polyuréthane ainsi obtenues peuvent présenter des températures de déformation à la chaleur supérieures à 110 degrés centigrades, une résistance élevée et essentiellement aucune perte de propriétés de matériau dans des tests à l'humidité à 70 degrés centigrades prolongés, des exothermes à un pic plus bas, habituellement à moins de 250 °F pendant le durcissement/la polymérisation dans le moule. Des articles préparés à partir de polyuréthanes incorporant de telles compositions de polyols en tant que réactifs présentent des résistances à la flexion supérieures à 10 000 livres par pouce carré (psi) et des modules d'élasticité en flexion supérieurs à 400 000 psi et présentent une remarquable résistance à l'état vert.
