L'invention concerne un procédé de lubrification d'un moteur à combustion interne à allumage par compression ayant une masse en charge maximum supérieure à 2 700 kg comprenant l'alimentation au moteur d'une composition lubrifiante comprenant : une huile de viscosité lubrifiante, un TBN 300 ou un détergent sulfonate de métal alcalino-terreux supérieur ayant un rapport des métaux de 10 à 40, 0,1 % en poids à 4 % en poids d'un dispersant polyisobutylène succinimide boré, le polyisobutylène duquel est dérivé le polyisobutylène succinimide boré ayant un poids moléculaire moyen en nombre de 550 a 1 150, et 0,1 % en poids à 6 % en poids d'un polyisobutylène succinimide, le polyisobutylène duquel est dérivé le polyisobutylène succinimide ayant un poids moléculaire moyen en nombre de 1 550 a 2 500, 0 % en poids à 0,2 % en poids d'un détergent à base de phénol.
